Lay Your Burden At The Feet Of Jesus

Luke 12:29,31,32  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

You see,  God takes care of our needs, but He wants us to seek His kingdom. It’s His pleasure to give us His kingdom. I like that.

We are sheep in His little flock, Children in His family, and servants in His kingdom. Why wouldn't Jesus take care of us. Sometimes we have a weak faith problem---a worry problem.

 It’s when I let go of the worry---put the need in a box or a sack, lay it at the feet of Jesus and walk away that I have  peace in my heart. Thank God for answered prayers.

Lost car keys or cancer, Jesus will answer. I used to take our bulldog outside on a leash in Texas heat, always scanning the ground for snakes. I asked the Lord to not let me see a snake. Every summer He answered my prayer.  Then I had cancer, and He answered my prayer.

Sweet Fellowship

The relationship of the Apostle Paul with the Philippian church was strong because they shared some important characteristics.

Mutual Care – The church supported Paul while he was on  the mission field. Those who truly care, care for the needs of others. This is the true spirit of Christ

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

 Mutual Prayer – Sometimes we can’t physically  bear the burden of others,  but we can pray for them. Paul reminds the Philippians that he prayed for them constantly. Believers ought to pray for one-another because there is power in prayer.

 Mutual Love – Here‘s the true key to successful fellowship---genuine Christian love. It always shows itself when interacting with others. It‘s a mark of true salvation. True love promotes forgiveness, peace, joy, kindness, tenderness, meekness, blessing and acceptance.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Believers become mature Christians as they love, care, and pray for others. I call that sweet fellowship.

The Comfort Of His Coming

Some of you are walking through tight places today. Let me remind you that the Lord is coming and not a single thing that plagues you here will follow you there!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

When the Lord catches up (raptures) his church in the clouds, born again believers will meet Jesus, spouses, children, parents and loved ones. Their bodies will become like Christ with no more sin, sickness, weakness, disease, pain, or death.

On that glorious day we will meet the One Who conquered death, Hell and the grave, the One Who loved us in spite of our sins -- our Redeemer. How comforting. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Rest For The Weary

Are you weary and tired from the struggles of life? Are you worn out from trying to serve jesus in the power of your flesh? Are you weary from your burden of sin? There’s a rest that comes from serving Jesus. There’s a joy, a fulfillment, a happiness that can be found no where else.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

There’s something special about being in the center of God’s will for your life. If you want true commitment, come to Jesus for salvation, yield to His will for your life and serve Him faithfully.

You will find that His yoke of difficulty is for your good by His grace, Rom. 8:28.
