He Lives

John is “in the Spirit, on the Lord’s Day”, Rev. 1;10.  As he worships, he hears a voice behind him that sounds like a great trumpet. 

Turning, he sees the glorified Christ and attempts the  impossible —  to describe the Lord of Glory. He faints. 

Revelation 1:17-18  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 

[18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

He is the One Who has always been, and the One Who will always be.  Jesus stands as the great Bookend on either end of history.  

Jesus died. He went to that cross to pay a price He didn’t owe for a people who owed a price they couldn’t pay.  He gave His all to redeem His people from their sins,

Kings may come and kings may go, but Jesus has, is and will reign forever. He is timeless and He is eternal!

He has risen indeed!

No, Not One

Sometimes I need a reminder of the benefits I enjoy as a child of God.

Psalm 103:2-4  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 

[3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 

[4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

There have been times when human touches and words were ineffective in the valleys of life. 

But even in the midst of those times, I have never been beyond the tender touch of my Heavenly Father. 

His grace is matchless and marvelous, but His tender mercies are glorious beyond vocabulary.

Just the feel of His hand as He reached into my heart was more wonderful than I can describe. 

The sure knowledge that He, with His rod and staff, was ever present to lead, feed and guide gave hope for the journey.

When Jesus moves in your life, He will never be just enough. He will always be more than enough.

‘Til The Storm Passes By

‘TIL THE STORM PASSES BY

Mark 4:39  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

I don’t know the nature of your storm during this time of coronavirus, but I know who can calm it. He is still the Master of the deep.

If it is a storm of suffering; He can ease your pain.

If it is a storm of sorrow; He can comfort your soul.

If it is a storm of sin; He can deliver you and set you free.

Do you need to hear Jesus say “Peace, be still” to your storm? If you do, bring it to Him and watch Him work.

Christ Arose

Matthew 28:2-3,5-6 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.  

[3] His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:   

[5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 

[6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

All this great resurrection power will be ultimately realized when Jesus returns and raises the dead in Christ. 

Imagine all those departed saints resurrected from the dead and glorified to live forever with Jesus! (1 Thes. 4:13-18). 

What a day that will be just doesn’t do it justice.
