Redeemed

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 

19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Only believers, those who’s sins have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus, can sing the song of the Redeemed. 

It’s the joy of knowing that you are eternally saved through the Blood of Jesus.

I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

It’s a comfort to know that we can have hope that we will again see our loved ones who have gone on to Heaven.  

Because Jesus lived again, so will believers - 1 Thes. 4:13.

I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You

If I survey all the good things that come to me from above,    —    If I count all the blessings from the storehouse of love;    —    I'd simply ask for the favor of him beyond mortal king.    —    And I'm sure that he'd grant it again.

No, Not One

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

That friend closer than a brother is Jesus. 

He is always by our side. Thank God!

At Calvary

Luke 23:33  And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

Never did a King occupy such a gruesome throne as Jesus occupied that day! 

It was a death that He went to willingly, humbly and expectantly -  John 18:37; Mark 10:45; Phil. 2:5-8. 

He occupied that throne for you!

 

At Calvary

Years I spent in vanity and pride,    —    Caring not my Lord was crucified,    —    Knowing not it was for me He died    —    On Calvary.

CHORUS:

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;    —    Pardon there was multiplied to me;  — There my burdened soul found liberty —  At Calvary.
