Precious Lord, Lead Me Home

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Precious Lord,Take my Hand

Precious Lord, take my hand,— Lead me on, let me stand.—  I am tired, I am weak, I am worn  —   Through the storm, through the night,  —   Lead me on to the light:   —  Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me home.

When my way grows drear,— Precious Lord, linger near,— When my life is almost gone, —Hear my cry, hear my call, — Hold my hand lest I fall: —Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me ho me.precious Lord,— Lead me home.

When the darkness appears — And the night draws near, —  And the day is past and gone; — At the river, I stand, —  Guide my feet, hold my hand: —  Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me home.

Seeking For Me

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Here is another song you may not know, but it has been a blessing to me. The Cathedrals sang it.

I had it about ready to blog before my neck and back stopped everything.

Since renewing my old meds, my hands are better.

Seeking For Me

_____________________

From the splendor of heaven   —  To the world down below   —From a manger to an old rugged tree   —   From the dawn of creation   —   Thro' the corridors of time   —

The Savior was seeking for me.

CHORUS:

He was seeking for me, Jesus was seeking for His me — Tho' I knew Him not  — Still He loved me — And was seeking for me.   —  He was seeking for me seeking —   Jesus was seeking for me. —  Tho' I knew Him not   —  Still He loved me  — and was seeking for me.

He was reaching for me — But I rejected His touch — Instead I reached for other things  —   I thought meant so much —Things of value in earth's market   —   I had sought all of them.  —   But all the time I was seeking,   —    I was seeking for Him.

So I reached out to Jesus — Crying, Lord, hear my plea — For I want You to have all of me.— Then out of darkness I saw His light of love, — Giving me a brand new start. — O praise the Lord, Jesus found me   — When I gave Him all my heart.    Hhh

Thank You, Lord, For Your Blessings on me

Psalm 104:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

On this Thanksgiving Day of November 25, 2021, may we consider the many blessings the good Lord has bestowed upon us and our families.

Thank You, Lord, For Your Blessings on Me

The world looks upon me — as I struggle along, —They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong. — In my heart I'm rejoicing, how I wish they could see. Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me.

CHORUS:

There's a roof up above me, — I've a good place to sleep.    —   There's food on my table — And shoes on my feet. — You gave me your love, Lord, —  And a fine family. —  Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.

Now, I know I'm not wealthy, — and these clothes , they're not new. —  I don't have much money, — but, Lord, I have you.    —   And to me that's all that matters, — though the world cannot see. — Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me.

James Easter 1954

Farther Along

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

There are times we don’t understand why bad thangs happen to good people.

When Jesus comes things will be better.

Farther Along

______________________

Tempted and tried, we’re oft made to wonder   —   Why it should be thus all the day long;   —   While there are others living about us,   —   Never molested, though in the wrong.

CHORUS:

Farther along we’ll know more about it,   —   Farther along we’ll understand why;   —   Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,   —   We’ll understand it all by and by.

Often when death has taken our loved ones,   —   Leaving our home so lone and so drear,   —   Then do we wonder why others prosper,   —   Living so wicked year after year.

“Faithful till death,” saith our loving Master   —    Short is our time to labor and wait;   —   Then will our toiling seem to be nothing,   —   When we shall pass the heavenly gate.

Soon we will see our dear, loving Savior,   —   Hear the last trumpet sound through the sky;   —   Then we will meet those gone on before us,   —   Then we shall know and understand why.

There are contradictory claims for the authorship of this song. The words and music are frequently attributed to W. B. Stevens, although others have attributed the words to W. A. Fletcher.  1911
