Give It To Jesus

David’s son had turned on him, and his best friends were trying to kill him. He felt alone and discouraged, then he remembers past prayers and the victory God gave. He prayed.
Psalm 55:16-17 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Is your burden weighing you down? Learn the secret of victory. Give it to Jesus.

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Through The Water And The Fire

How many have been pulled from the drowning waters of tribulation, claiming God’s  promise in Isaiah 43:2? The longer I live, the more it happens. Praise God!
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Whatever the need, the Lord stands ready, willing and able to walk you through the waters and fires that threaten. He is faithful to His Word.

If we could only learn to leave the worrying to Jesus—to trust His promise.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Joy Comes In The Morning

Job came to understand that all his losses happened for the glory of God, that all of life is about God getting His glory from us,
May the Lord help us reach the place that no matter what happens, we can honestly say, “I still believe.”

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

There will be times when we won’t understand. That’s okay. There will be times when we won’t know what to do. That’s okay.

May we always know that no matter what happens, God is with us and has our best interests at heart. He will always do the right thing in us, for us and to us.

Psalm 30:4-5 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Jesus And The Blind Man

As blind Bartimaeus sat begging, he heard voices of an excited crowd. Someone told him they were following Jesus.
He might have heard how Jesus healed some lepers and multiplied loaves and fishes.

He might have heard how Jesus walked on water.

He might have heard how Jesus restored sight to other blind men.

Maybe Bartimaeus said, “If Jesus can do all these things, maybe He can heal me too.” So he cried out for healing.

Mark 10:51-52 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Faith in Jesus is mighty powerful.

Faith

I believe that God, who controls the path of every atom in every molecule in this universe, has time for you when you call on Him in faith.
Faith is not positive thinking. Faith is not “name it and claim it”. Faith is not optimism. Faith is not looking on the bright side.

Faith is simply taking God at His word and believing that He will do everything He has promised to do.

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The Power Of Prayer

I wonder how many of us are living "impossible" lives because of the spiritual supernatural power of prayer. I am. My husband is.
Never say God can’t do something. Prayer is a privilege and it has the ability to achieve the impossible.

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Prayer says "I can’t, but I know One who can."

Paul was a prayer warrior.

Romans 1:9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

We need more people to pray.

God In The Valley

It’s easy to serve the Lord when we are on the mountain top—excited about His work. But He is still God in our valleys.
When we enter the valley of physical pain, He is still God.  When we enter the valley of spiritual discouragement or of sorrow, He is still God.

God wants to reveal His power in your life and mine, to show us that He is still God.

When everything around us suggests that we should be discouraged and defeated, God says that we have the victory,

RomAns 8:37, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

Genuine spiritual victory is simple faith in the promises of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
