Glory And Rejoicing

Believers will never genuinely worship without a sense of the awesome power and presence of God.

Surely He has been good to each of us. If He never offered another blessing, I have received far more than I deserve.

He bore my sin on the cross, providing for my redemption.

He saved me by His grace and has promised eternal life and a home in heaven.

As I ponder all He is, standing in awe and wonder of Him, I must glory in the Lord and rejoice in Him.

1 Chronicles 16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord .

Zacchaeus Was A Wee Little Man

There was more to Zacchaeus than met the eye. He was successful by the world's standards, but it was what he lacked that made the difference in his life.

The Bible says this little guy climbed a tree to meet a great big God, got what he lacked, and it  changed his life forever (Luke 19:1-10).

Zaccheaus may not have fully understood all that was happening in his heart and life, but He freely gave himself to Jesus and got salvation.

Everybody needs to get to Jesus for salvation whether they fully understand it or realize it.

How desperate is the need? Extremely. Jesus is the only One who can save your soul and make a difference in where you spend eternity.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and believe in Him.

What is Your Priority?

"The true worth of a man is to be measured by the objects he pursues." ---Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121-180).

What has your attention? Whatever it is, that’s your priority --  It is, in effect, your God.

May we determine that we will "have no other gods before Him."

May we determine that our love for God will drive us to pursue Him with every fiber of our beings.

When we do, we open the door to His best just a little bit wider.

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Learning To Lean

If God can make this world, then surely He has the power to take care of me. It’s that simple. After all, He is my Lord and Savior.

Then why do I make it hard? It seems faith comes easier with small-matters, but it shouldn’t.

Here’s a good antidote for weak faith. Read the Gospels and take in the amazing ministry of Jesus. The lame walked and the blind saw and the dead came alive and much more. There’s nothing too big for the Lord.

I have an uphill battle in my life right now, but I’m learning to lean on Jesus.

Psalm 121:1-3  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Full Of Glory

For Christians, it’s glory all the way. When we trusted Christ we were born for glory.

We are being kept for glory.

As we obey the Lord and experience trials, we are going prepared for glory.

When we love Him, trust Him, and rejoice in Him, we experience the glory here and now.

We will have Joy unspeakable and full of glory at the appearing of Jesus.

1 Peter 1:7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

8. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

9.  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
