I Will Sing The Wondrous Story

Is God good to you? I’m sure He is. He certainly is good to me, and because of that “I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever”.

Psalm 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.


The mercies of the Lord are wonderful!


My, how faithful He has been to me!

I will sing the wondrous story — Of the Christ Who died for me; — How He left His home in glory — For the cross of Calvary.


CHORUS:

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story — Of the Christ Who died for me, — Sing it with the saints in glory, — Gathered by the crystal sea.


I was lost, but Jesus found me, — Found the sheep that went astray, — Threw His loving arms around me, — Drew me back into His way.


Days of darkness still come o’er me, — Sorrow’s path I often tread, — But His presence still is with me;   —   By His guiding hand I’m led.


He will keep me till the river — Rolls its waters at my feet; — Then He’ll bear me safely over, — Where the loved ones I shall meet.

It Is Well With My Soul

Psalm 146:1-2 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. 

[2] While I live will I praise the Lord : I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.


Born again believers have a blessed peace that comes with knowing it is well with their souls.

To God Be The Glory

Psalm 117:1-2  O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 

[2] For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.


If we are saved, we are sons of God. 


We are secure in Jesus forever,  headed to a city called Heaven.


Those things are ours and cannot be touched by this world, by time or by Satan. 


Therefore, we have a reason to praise the Lord, even when life is harsh, Luke 10:20.)


To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory, great things He hath done;   —   So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,   —   Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,   —   And opened the life gate that all may go in.

What A Day That Will Be

 Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I can’t wait to have a glorified body —  no pain, no tears, no sorrow. 


But the glory of Heaven will be living with Jesus in the New Jerusalem.


What A Day That Will Be

There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come,   —    No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.   —    All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore,   —    What a day, glorious day that will be.

Heaven Came Down

Ephesians 2:1,4-5,8-9 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 

[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 


[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)


[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 


[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.


God is rich in infinite mercy.  He has what man needs.


The only requirement is that you believe Him.

O what a wonderful, wonderful day — Day I will never forget; —  After I'd wandered in darkness away,  — Jesus my Saviour I met. —  O what a tender, compassionate friend,  —   He met the need of my heart;   —  Shadows dispelling, With joy I am telling, — He made all the darkness depart.

Jesus Is All The World To Me

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Those who are walking in fellowship with Christ are quite happy to live for Him, yet ready to meet Him in death. 


It is the essence of the Christian life – to live for Christ every day in this life while being prepared to meet Him face to face. 


To have this great assurance offers peace that escapes explanation. 


Jesus Is All The World To Me

Jesus is all the world to me,   —    My life, my joy, my all;   —   He is my strength from day to day, —  Without Him I would fall. — When I am sad, to Him I go, — No other one can cheer me so; — When I am sad, He makes me glad, — He’s my Friend.


Jesus is all the world to me, — My Friend in trials sore;  — I go to Him for blessings, and — He gives them o’er and o’er.— He sends the sunshine and the rain, — He sends the harvest’s golden grain; — Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, — He’s my Friend.

Cleanse Me

 Do you want to be closer to God?

Humbly pray the following prayer. 


Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 


[24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.


Cleanse Me

Search me, O God, and know my heart today, — Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts, I pray;— See if there be some wicked way in me; —Cleanse me from every sin, and set me free.


I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;   —    Fulfill Thy word and make me pure within;   —    Fill me with fire, where once I burned with shame;   —    Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.


Lord, take my life, and make it wholly Thine; — Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine; — Take all my will, my passion, self and pride; — I now surrender, Lord, in me abide.
