You Don't Have To Worry

This unstable world may put you on edge these days. If you're not careful, you'll worry yourself silly. What's going to happen? The unknown can be scary.

Child of God, you don't have to be afraid. Your Heavenly Father has personally designed your future, and whatever comes your way has to first receive His divine approval.

Hebrews 13:5,6 . . . . for He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Your hope is in The Lord. He holds the future in His hands. Trust Him. Because He lives you can face tomorrow.

Submitting To God

Everybody wants a blessed life. Before God can thoroughly bless people He must break them from their own self-reliance. We saw that in Jacob who became Israel after being broken.
Regardless of Peter's hang-ups, Christ knew with His touch, the blow of the chisel here and the heavenly sandpaper there; Peter could be used to His glory.
God works to strip from our lives that which we depend upon. He wants us to depend on Him. He loves us too much to let us be our soulish self. He has bigger and better things for us.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father: we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Lord, what do you want me to do? How do you want me to live? Where do you want me to go? What do you want me to say? It's all about you--not me.

He's Still Working On Me

None of us have arrived yet. We are works in progress. I'm not what I used to be and I'm not what I will be when God gets through with me.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
One day we'll leave this world behind and enter Heaven. This vile flesh, with all its appetites and affections, will be left behind forever, and we will be changed into the image of God. Then we will receive a perfect glorified body.
In the mirror of His Word reflections that I see
Make me wonder why He never gave up on me
He loves me as I am and helps me when I pray
Remember He's the Potter, I'm the clay

Don't Be Weary

Periodic discouragement in well doing happens to the best of God's people: Moses, Joshua, Elijah, and David are a few.
Galation 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Weariness isn't unchristian or unspiritual, but gaurd against fainting--quiting--throwing in the towel. There is strength for every task. It took Noah 120 years to build the ark. I imagine He became weary at times.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Regardless of how you feel, God can still use you. Keep doing whatever He called you to do. The Lord blesses the seed sown. It doesn't depend on how you feel.
When care is pressing you down a bit, rest if you must, but don't quit.
Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning.

Something About That Name

The Christ. Jesus. There's just something about that name. Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, but there's something about that name. What do we know about Jesus?
He's coming to earth again, majestically with glory and power. Only then will the world know peace.
When He came the first time as a babe, He grew up and laid down His life like a slaughtered Lamb at the cross of Calvary to redeem you and me from sin. His chosen people rejected Him.
Who is Jesus?
Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith The Lord, which is and which was and which is to come: the Almighty.
In all of His Majestic Holiness, Jesus loves you and me. He even loves lost sinners, forever bidding them to come to Him. That's amazing.
He showers me with blessings every day.

Rock Of Ages

As a child of God, you can know that The Lord knows you personally. He cares about what's happening in your life--good and bad, and promises to hear your cry for help when life overwhelms you.
Psalm 61:2,3  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher then I. For thou has been a shelter for me and a strong tower from the enemy.
So this is where the Southern Gospel song writer found his words.
Thank God for the eternal Rock, a place where we can flee from trouble, sorrow, and suffering. It's a place where storms can't reach us. This rock is Jesus. He helps us when we can't help ourselves.
When sorrow meets faith it sees Christ, our Rock of ages.

Make The Most Of Life

Are you making the most of your minutes, hours, days, weeks and years? Be careful lest money, possessions, pride, peer pressure, lack of discipline, self-focus or personal desires keep you from living your life as God wants you to.
James 4:14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.
Life is too short not to be significant for The Lord. You should accept Christ and live for Him, love a world of lost sinners, and serve others. How much time are you investing in eternity?
Life is too uncertain to live without faith. You must allow God to accomplish His will for your life. You must live to glorify Him while you can.
