How Is Your Day?

It's God's will for you to rejoice and be glad all the days he has given you.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which The Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
What a day that will be when Christ returns.
Many believers have lost the joy and gladness of their day because of the struggles of life. God wants you to know that you are more than conquerors through Him (Romans 8:37), and His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:10).
God shapes your days by special order.
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
At their final day, many people regret not spending their days serving The Lord better or not serving Him at all.
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

A Permanent Solution For Sin

The Savior had to be human in order to be able to die, and He had to be God in order to make His death an effective payment for sin. Jesus was offered as a spotless sacrifice to God for the sins of the world.
1 Peter 1:18,19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold . . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Christ's sacrifice on the cross reconciled sinful man and a holy God. Jesus is the permanent solution to man's problem of sin, judgment, and eternal death.
If Jesus had only died and not been resurrected, He would have been a mere martyr -- a good man dying for a cause. But Calvary's cross and the empty tomb are inseparably linked for eternity.
Have you been reconciled to God? Believe in Jesus.

God's Place Of Blessing

God is not your enemy. He is your friend. He will never withhold any good thing from you. You can always trust Him to do the right thing, even if it's not a pleasant thing. He wants to bless you.
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee if thou shalt harken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
When we live to please God, His blessings will seek us out, chase us down, and surprise us when we least expect it.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
Count your many blessings. They began with God's grace and sacrifice on the cross for your redemption. What a blessing to be adopted by the Heavenly Father into His family.
Are you in God's place of blessing? Live for Him, long for him, and learn of Him.

Don't Quit

Jeremiah became discouraged as he warned Israel to turn to God or be captured by the Babylonians. The people ignored him. He wanted to quit but couldn't.
Jeremiah 20:9 . . . . But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (quit).
It's when we are defeated and weak that we can know the strength of God. His presence and the power of His Word will build our faith to move forward for the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
10. . . . . for when I am weak, then am I strong.
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't quit

The Best Is Yet To Come

Everyone's life is unique. Much of it is out of our control and ordained of God.
Job 23:10 But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Psalm 37:23,24  The steps of a good man are ordained by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.
Child of God, are you weary in well doing? Be encouraged! The best is yet to come! Our hope lies beyond this world.
Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away
All tears forever over in God's eternal day

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase
So bravely run the race till we see Christ

The Abundant Life

John 10:10 . . . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus didn't save us to barely cling to spiritual life. He saved us to be filled with His glory, His peace, and His joy. He saved us to overflow with a spiritual bounty. Daily Bible study and seeking and surrenduring to His will brings the abundant life.
During most of my forty some  working years, my daily devotion was quoting Psalm 23 before I went to sleep. Life was hectic, and I didn't think I had time to read God's Word or I was too exhausted. After i retired and began to study God's Word and pray more, I experience the more abundant life. Everybody should get in the Word daily.
Would you describe your Christian life as "abundant"?

The Salt Of The Earth

Salt in the Bible pictures the saving, preserving influence of Jesus Christ in the heart and life of a believer.
Mathew 7:13 Ye are the salt of the earth; but if the salt hath lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men.
Believers are to salt the world around them by having a sense of values, principles, and purpose different from the rest of the world.
We are to love one another and lovingly help non-believers who are in need -- the sick, the orphans, the poor, and the elderly.
Adding the salt of Jesus will make a marriage, friendhip, family, attitude, church, city, and the world better.
There is a person in your world looking for someone to point them to Jesus. Are you that salt or has your seasoning waned?
