Tell It to Jesus

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

“Worry about nothing; pray about everything. Prayer is the secret of power.” (J.V. McGee).

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Tell It to Jesus

_______________________

Are you weary, are you heavy-hearted?   —   Tell it to Jesus, Tell it to Jesus;   —   Are you grieving over joys departed?   —   Tell it to Jesus alone.

CHORUS:

Tell it to Jesus, Tell it to Jesus,   —   He is a friend that’s well-known;   —   You’ve no other such a friend or brother,  — Tell it to Jesus alone.

Do the tears flow down your cheeks unbidden?   —   Tell it to Jesus,Tell it to Jesus;   —   Have you sins that to men’s eyes are hidden?   —   Tell it to Jesus alone.

Do you fear the gath’ring clouds of sorrow? —   Te it to Jesus, Tell it to Jesus; — Are you anxious what shall be tomorrow? — Tell it to Jesus alone.

Are you troubled at the thought of dying? — Tell it to Jesus,Tell it to Jesus; — For Christ’s coming kingdom are you sighing? — Tell it to Jesus alone.

Oh, Say But I’m Glad

Psalm 5:11-12 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

I’m so glad I know the ever loving, tenderhearted, compassionate loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We should rejoice in Him for Who He is and what He has done for us.

Oh, Say But I’m Glad

There is a song in my heart today, — Something I never had; — Jesus has taken my sins away   —   Oh, say, but I’m glad.

CHORUS:

Oh, say, but I’m glad, I’m glad, — Oh, say, but I’m glad, — Jesus has come and my cup’s overrun; — Oh, say, but I’m glad.

Wonderful, marvelous love He brings, — Into a heart that’s sad;   — Through darkest tunnels the soul just sings,  —   Oh, say, but I’m glad.

We have a fellowship rich and sweet,   —   Tongues can never relate;   —   Abiding in Him, the soul’s Retreat   —   Oh, but say, but it’s great.

Won’t you come to Him with all your care,   —   Weary and worn and sad? — You, too, will sing as His love you share, — Oh, say, but I’m glad.

Til’ The Storm Passes By

Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Can we look back in our lives when the Lord gave us strength when we needed it most, recalling the storms that nearly broke us, and God delivered us.

Jesus is still mending lives.  Trust Him.

Til’ the Storm Passes By

_______________________________

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face, — While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place. —  Mid the crash of the thunder, — Precious Lord, hear my cry, — Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

CHORUS:

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more, — Till the clouds roll forever from the sky; — Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,—Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try, — For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by" — But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise — Where the storms never darken the skies.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more, — Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore; — In that land where the tempest, never comes, — Lord, may I Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

More Than Wonderful

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

I just couldn’t wait till Christmas to honor and praise Christ The Wonderful. The Coounsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace.

I wish everyone knew Him like this.

More Than Wonderful

_______________________________

He promised us that He would be a counselor, —  A mighty God and the Prince of Peace. — He promised us that He would be a father, — And that He would love us with a love that would not cease.

Well, I tried Him and I found His promises are true — He's everything He said that He would be. — The finest words I know could not begin to tell   —   Just what Jesus really means to me.

For He's more wonderful than my mind can conceive.   —   He's more wonderful than my heart can believe.   —   He goes beyond my highest hopes and fondest dreams.   —   He's everything that my soul ever longed for,   —   Everything that He's promised and so much more.   —   He's more than amazing, more than marvelous,   —   More than miraculous could ever be.   —   He's more than wonderful,   —   That's what Jesus is to me,

I stand amazed when I think that the King of glory   —   Would come to dwell within the heart of man.   —   I marvel just to know He really loves me  —  When I think of who He is, and who I am.

For He's more wonderful than my mind can conceive.   —   He's more wonderful than my heart can believe. — He goes beyond my highest hopes and fondest dreams.   —   He's everything that my soul ever longed for.   —   Everything that He's promised and so much more.   —   He's more than amazing, more than marvelous, — More than miraculous could ever be. — He's more than wonderful, — That's what Jesus is to me.

Great is Thy Faithfulness

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

No matter what temptation you experience, there have been others who have had the same kind of temptation.

The encouraging thing is that God will make a way of escape for you. God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can endure.

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father.*    —   There is no shadow of turning with thee.    —   Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not.    —   As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

CHORUS:

Great is thy faithfulness! — Great is thy faithfulness! — Morning by morning new mercies I see.  —  All I have needed thy hand hath provided. — Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,  — sun, moon, and stars in their courses above,  — join with all nature in manifold witness    —   to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,    —   thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,    —   strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow;    —   blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

He Keeps Me Singing

Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

The new life-changing song is of redemption.

Many shall see the song of death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He Keeps Me Singing

__________________________

There’s within my heart a melody    —   Jesus whispers sweet and low,  — Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,    —   In all of life’s ebb and flow.

CHORUS:

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,    —   Sweetest Name I know,    —   Fills my every longing,    —   Keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife, — Discord filled my heart with pain, — Jesus swept across the broken strings, — Stirred the slumb’ring chords again.

Feasting on the riches of His grace,    —   Resting ’neath His shelt’ring wing, — Always looking on His smiling face, — That is why I shout and sing.

Though sometimes He leads through waters deep,  — Trials fall across the way,    —   Though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,  — See His footprints all the way.

Soon He’s coming back to welcome me, — Far beyond the starry sky; — I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown,  — I shall reign with Him on high.

Stepping in The Light

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

The suffering of Christ for the sins of the world is not an example for us—it is our redemption

But gospel records tell us how Jesus suffered for righteousness’ sake during His ministry, leaving us an example to follow in His steps.

When you and I suffer for our faith, we remember the example He left for us.

Stepping in The Light

__________________________

Trying to walk in the steps of the Savior,   —   Trying to follow our Savior and King;    —    Shaping our lives by His blessed example,    —  Happy, how happy, the songs that we bring.

CHORUS:

How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior,  —  Stepping in the light, stepping in the light  —  How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior,  —  Led in paths of light.

Pressing more closely to Him Who is leading,    —    When we are tempted to turn from the way;  —  Trusting the arm that is strong to defend us,  —  Happy, how happy, our praises each day.

Walking in footsteps of gentle forbearance,    —    Footsteps of faithfulness, mercy, and love,    —    Looking to Him for the grace freely promised,    —    Happy, how happy, our journey above.

Trying to walk in the steps of the Savior,  —  Upward, still upward, we follow our Guide;    —    When we shall see Him, “the King in His beauty,”  —  Happy, how happy, our place at His side.
