When We Pray

When we pray we ought to be reminded of the graciousness of God. We can pray with full assurance that God will hear our prayers and meet our needs.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I don’t have to fear asking my Father anything. I can go to Him with each and every need at any time.

Between Heaven And Earth

The distance between heaven and earth is unreachable.

David knew God’s mercy was much the same way.

Psalm 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

The heights of the heavens could be used to describe the great heights of God’s mercy and grace toward us.

It was so vast and wonderful that it was beyond comprehension or description.

There’s a massive difference between a holy, gracious God and sinful men.

Although we would never be able to obtain any measure of His righteousness in ourselves, through His great mercy, God bridged the impossible divide!

The Wonder Of Creation

Do you ever take a moment to consider the wonder of creation?

Jeremiah 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

I’m amazed when I consider all God has done and the wondrous power He possesses.

The vastness of the universe, the beauty of the earth, the wonder of the human body and life itself, all of this was created and sustained by the God of heaven.

He is my Lord, my Savior, my God and King.

He Arose

  1. I love this old Easter Hymn written by Robert Lowry in 1874.

  2. Low in the grave He lay, Jesus, my Savior,
  3. Waiting the coming day, Jesus, my Lord

  4. Refrain:
  5. Up from the grave He arose,
  6. With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
  7. He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
  8. And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
  9. He arose! He arose!
  10. Hallelujah! Christ arose!
  11. Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus, my Savior;
    Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus, my Lord!
  12. Death cannot keep his Prey, Jesus, my Savior;
    He tore the bars away, Jesus, my Lord!
