Love Lifted Me

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The greatest thought to grip the human mind is this: “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”

Look no farther than the bloody cross of Calvary to see the extent of God’s love for you!

Love Lifted Me

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,    —   Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,    —   But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,    —   From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

CHORUS:

Love lifted me! Love lifted me!  — When nothing else could help, — Love lifted me!  —  Love lifted me! Love lifted me!    —   When nothing else could help,    —   Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll cling,    —   In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing,    —   Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs,    —   Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs.

Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves,  —  He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves;  —  He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,  — He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

The Longer I Serve Him

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When you and I are believers of God, we have the nature of God.

We can understand God when He speaks through His Word and the Spirit of God makes it real to us.

Isn’t that wonderful!  That’s why the longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

The Longer I Serve Him

Since I started for the Kingdom. — Since my life He controls, — Since I gave my heart to Jesus; — The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

CHORUS:

The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows,    —   The more that I love Him, more love He bestows.    —   Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows.    —   The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Ev’ry need He is supplying, — Plenteous grace He bestows; — Ev’ry day my way gets brighter. — The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Joy Comes In The Morning

Psalm 30:4-5 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

[5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Thank God, our storms don’t last forever.

Joy Comes In The Morning

If you've knelt beside the rubble of an aching broken heart  —  When the things you gave your life to fell apart.  — You're not the first to be acquainted with sorrow, grief or pain,  — But the master promised sunshine after rain.

CHORUS:

Hold on my child (Hold on my child) — Joy comes in the morning. — Weeping only last for the night. — Hold on my child (Hold on my child)    —   Joy comes in the morning.    —   The darkest hour means dawn is just in sight.

To invest your seeds of trust in God in mountains you can't move, — You have risked your life on things you cannot prove.  —  But to give the things you cannot keep for what you cannot lose.  — That's the way to find the joy God has for you.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

Hebrews 13:5-6  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

[6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Believers don’t have to worry about the future.

We have God’s promise to never forsake us.

Whatever the future holds, we can know the Lord is our helper and nobody can scare us. That’s all we need.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

___________________________

I don't know about tomorrow; — I just live from day to day. — I don't borrow from its sunshine — For its skies may turn to grey. — I don't worry o'er the future, — For I know what Jesus said. — And today I'll walk beside Him, — For He knows what lies ahead.

CHORUS:

Many things about tomorrow — I don't seem to understand, — But I know who holds tomorrow,  —  And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter — As the golden stairs I climb; — Every burden's getting lighter, — Every cloud is silver-lined. — There the sun is always shining,  —  There no tear will dim the eye;  —  At the ending of the rainbow  —  Where the mountains touch the sky.

I don't know about tomorrow; — It may bring me poverty. — But the one who feeds the sparrow — Is the one who stands by me. — And the path that be my portion — May be through the flame or flood; —  But His presence goes before me, — And I'm covered with His blood.

How Great Thou Art

Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Psalm 145:13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

“We praise Him for all that is past, and trust Him for all that is to come.”

How Great Thou Art

Oh Lord, my God,    —   When I, in awesome wonder,    —   Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.    —   I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder.    —   Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

CHORUS:

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,    —   How great Thou art, how great Thou art.    —   Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,    —   How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,    —   Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in.    —   That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,    —   He bled and died to take away my sin.

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation  — And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.  —  Then I shall bow, in humble adoration    —   And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art.

Wonderful Peace

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We know that God is sovereign. possesses all power, and is more than able to meet our needs.

Yet, He often works in ways that we never expected, in ways that exceed our understanding.

Wonderful Peace

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight   —   Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm; — In celestial-like strains it unceasingly falls — O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

CHORUS:

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,   —   Coming down from the Father above!   —   Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray   —   In fathomless billows of love!

What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,   —   Buried deep in the heart of my soul, — So secure that no power can mine it away, — While the years of eternity roll!

I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace, — Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control; — For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day, —  And His glory is flooding my soul!

And I know when I rise to that city of peace, —  Where the Author of peace I shall see, —  That one of the anthems the ransomed will sing   —   In that heavenly kingdom shall be:

O soul, are you here without comfort or rest, — Walking down the rough pathway of time — Make Jesus your friend ere the shadows grow dark;   —   Oh, accept this sweet peace so sublime!

I’ve Never Been This Homesick Before

2 Corinthians 5:1-2  For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [

2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

When you see me you only see the temporary house I live in.

One day I’ll trade this house for a heavenly house not made with hands.

I’m getting homesick for the glories of that new body and new home.

I’ve Never Been This Homesick Before

There's a light in the window, — The table's set in splendor; — Someone's standing by the open door. — I can see the crystal river, — I must be near forever, — And I've never been this homesick before,

CHORUS:

See the bright light shine, — it's just about home time. — I can see my father standing at the door. — This world's been a wilderness, — and I'm ready for deliverance. — Lord, I've never been this homesick before

I can see my family gathered, — Sweet faces so familiar, — But no one's old or feeble anymore. — This old lonesome heart is crying, — Soon I'll spread my wings for flying. — And I've never been this homesick before.
