Our Never-Changing God

God Almighty has never, can never, and will never change.

Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

This means that God is as powerful, as loving, as merciful, as full of grace, as holy and as much in control as He has ever been.

If you serve this amazing God, He will be with you every mile your weary feet will trod. Trust Him.  He will take care of you.

“Be not dismayed what ‘er betide, God will take care of you. Beneath His Wings of love abide, God will take care of you, . . .No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you. Lean, weary  one, upon His breast, God will take care of you. “ —Civilly D, Martin

Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus

Three times in scripture Mary, sister of Lazarus and Martha, is found sitting at the feet of Jesus,  calmly listening to His words. Worshiping.

It would do some Christians good to learn to sit at the feet of Jesus  (in prayer, Bible reading, worship, etc.), to forget about the cares of this world, to learn to love the Lord more than worries.

At the feet of Jesus the burdens of life tend to grow amazingly light. We lose sight of self in the glorious light of His Person.

Sitting at the feet of Jesus will show on you.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

It  seems to me that some people have learned to abide at the feet of Jesus as they go through life, and this translates into peace of heart, power of life, and purpose before God.

Everything’s Gonna Be All Right

If you are trusting Jesus, don't let the devil mess with you. If you are God's child, everything's gonna be all right.
Too many believers spend too much time worrying about what might happen.

There will be trials and there will be valleys, but there will also be blessings and times of great victory.

I’m glad we serve a God Who has personally designed our future and whatever comes our way, it first has to receive His divine approval.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Everything's gonna be all right. It may look bad, but things are going to work out like God planned. What has God planned? He has planned nothing but the best for His children, Rom. 8:28.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord .

I Know My Redeemer Lives

Poor Job. He lost everything except his nagging wife and three so-called misleading friends. In his scratching misery he looks beyond the present to some things to rejoice in.

Job 19:25-26 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job and I know the same Redeemer and share the same hope in Heaven.

I find comfort, hope and strength in the thought of seeing Jesus. I know Him and He knows me and He still loves me. He’s the best friend I ever had.

One day dirt will cover my body and my soul will return to God.  Even so, like Job, my body will rise - 1 Cor. 15:12-23.  It will be changed and in the flesh I will see God. That’s something to rejoice about.

When life is rough and you feel defeated, there are some sure facts that can bring you joy in the midst of the storm.

God Will Provide

God reminds the Israelites that He has met their needs since day one, and He pledges to continue.
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through
the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt
not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

He refers to some famous events in their history when He provided.

1.  Pass through the waters – Crossing The Red Sea on dry land – Ex. 14
2.  Pass through the river – The crossing the Jordan on dry land – Deut. 4
3.  Walk through the fire – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego wasn’t burned – Daniel 3.

What does this mean for us? Just that God has not changed. What He did for Israel, He can
do for you and me.

As we face the storms, walk through the valleys, and endure the dark nights of life,
remember that Israel’s God is the same God we serve, and He will never fail us.

He will meet every need we have for His own glory – Phil. 4:19; Matt. 6:33Believe it.

The Powerful Word Of God

Thank God for His Word.
In this powerful book He bends low to speak to fallen man, to reveal Himself and  give us His Gospel, the only plan of salvation.
This  holy book is health for the soul—food for the journey—strength for the battle—light for the darkness—and hope for every tomorrow.

We ought to worship the Lord for giving us His Word.

Psa. 30:5, “Every word of God is pure...”

Psa. 19:8, “The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

James 3:17, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”

2 Tim. 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

Praise God Anyway

Satan has a hard time with a praising saint.
You may not feel like it, but praise God anyway.  It will bring you into His presence.

When you feel like crying - cry, weep, empty your heart of the bitterness of sorrow. But call on the Lord and thank Him for all He has done for you.

In His time and in His way, The Lord will lift your burdens.

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Sometimes life hurts, but when it does there is help and hope for those who know the Lord.
