Wonderful, Wonderful Jesus

 When we are in close fellowship with God, we can turn to Him in  times of trouble and temptation.

We will find that He has all the resources we need to escape our trial.  [1 Cor. 10:13].  


Those not in close fellowship with God can be when they come to Jesus with unconfessed sin, surrendering to His will.


Psalm 32:7  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

It Is Well With My Soul

 People look everywhere and try everything to find rest for their souls. Nothing and no one in this world can give the peace and rest they seek.

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:


Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.


When we trust Jesus by faith, our soul is given rest.  When we serve Him faithfully, we find peace and rest. We can say . . . .

Does Jesus Care?

 When we believers turn loose of our lives and willingly place ourselves under the Lord, He will use us for His glory.

He will see to the needs that arise in our lives, because He loves us. 


Talk to Jesus about what’s going on in your life. 


1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 


[7] Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.


Does Jesus Care?

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained    —  Too deeply for mirth or song,    —  As the burdens press, and the cares distress,    —  And the way grows weary and long?

Surely Goodness And Mercy

 Between the time we get saved and the day we go home to heaven, there is a life to live. That’s where Psalm 23 comes into play.

The Good Shepherd promises us help for today and hope for tomorrow.  


He plans and knows the way we take [Psa. 37:23; Job 23:10].


Knowing that the good Shepherd is going to see me through this life and usher me into that glorious, eternal, sinless life in Heaven  stirs my heart. 


Psalm 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Leave It There

 When we are burdened it touches the heart of God and He is moved on our behalf. 

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.


He tells us to give Him everything


I’m so thankful that we have the Lord's promise of His Presence  [Heb. 13:5; Matt. 28:20]. —  His Provision [Phil. 4:19], and His Power, [Matt. 28:18].


Lay your burden at the feet of Jesus.


Leave It There

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,   —    And you have to get along with meager fare,   —    Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird   —    Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power

 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 

[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:


The blood of Jesus has power to cleanse 1 John 1:7. to conquer Rev. 12:11, and to comfort, Col. 1:20.


Andrae Crouch wrote his first song at the age of fourteen titled “The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power”, 


At a friend’s party, being shy, instead of joining everyone in the back yard, he went in the house and sat down at an upright piano. 


He prayed, “Lord, ‘God, I really love you. I would love to write songs for you. If you would give me a song, I will live for you forever.”


Suddenly, in his mind he could see Jesus carrying his cross up to Calvary, and he said, “Oh, the blood!” He began to sing, “The blood that Jesus shed for me . . . . “


The people in the backyard, mostly the small church choir where his father pastored,  heard him and came inside. As they joined in his song, they began to cry.

The Unclouded Day

 Heaven is a glorious land where the redeemed of the ages spend eternity. 

It’s the place where we all long to go.


Revelation 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.


The same God Who stood in absolute darkness and said, “Let there be light” will fill our home with His brilliance and glory.


The darkness that haunts this world will be banished over there, and the “prince of darkness” can no longer do his wicked works. 


Some call it Heaven.  I call it Home.


The Unclouded Day
