He’s All I Need

 Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

One of the most practical ways we get to know God in a personal way is through our daily physical and financial needs. 


He planned it that way because we all need to learn to depend on God, not ourselves.  


He’s All I Need

He's all I need when I just need someone to talk to,    —   He's always there to hear my prayer each time I call him;  — All my needs He supplies, my thirsty soul He satisfies, — He's the Lord of Lords, He's all I need.


He comforts me when I'm weary and eases every pain, — Fills my deepest longing time and time again;    —   He's my soul's inspiration, my heart's consolation,  — He's my everything, He's all I need.


He's all I need, I need not turn to any other, — For He's a friend I can depend closer than a brother; — On this friend I can rely to be my strength as life goes by,   —   He's the Lord of all, He's all I need.

Surely Goodness and Mercy

Psalm 23:1,6  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 

[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.


By the authority of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can trust Him and call Him our shepherd.


Jesus has been with me every day of my life, and I can’t wait to live in His earthly Kingdom forever.

Living For Jesus

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God’s purpose is that we live for Him.  


If Christ is in us and we in Him, we will show our love for Him by allowing the Holy Spirit to enable us to live for Him.  


We can’t live for Him without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 


Then watch all things work together for our good. 


Living For Jesus

Living for Jesus, a life that is true,    —    Striving to please Him in all that I do;  —  Yielding allegiance, glad hearted and free,  —  This is the pathway of blessing for me.

Have Thine Own Way, Lord

 Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

By an act of our will we place our total personalities at the disposal of God.


This is our “reasonable service,” and it is well–pleasing to God.

It is Well With My Soul

 Romans 5:1-2  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 


[2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.


Paul mentions again and again that we have peace through the blood of Jesus Christ, which means that everything is all right between our soul and God. 


That is wonderful peace!

Amazing Grace

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ephesians 2:7-9  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 


[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 


[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.


Thank you, Jesus, for redeeming us from sin when we believed on you. 


Thank you for your saving grace.  That’s why we call it amazing.

His Eye is on The Sparrow

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 

[30] But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 


[31] Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.


Don’t ever worry that Jesus doesn’t know about you and your problem. 


You are valuable to Him.  He knows, and He cares.

Why should I feel discouraged?     —    Why should the shadows come?    —    Why should my heart be lonely and long for heav’n and home?    —    When Jesus is my portion?     —    My constant Friend is He:    —    His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
