Jesus tells his disciples that God takes care of the birds of the air and flowers of the field and He will take care of them because they are more precious.
He also tells them that the secret to having their needs met is to live for the Lord, to love God and seek Him.
Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Then Jesus speaks some much needed words of peace to saints who are prone to worry.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
God takes care of His Children. You are precious to Him. Fear not.
NORMA DAVIS ---- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus . . . Romans 8:1

The Mountain And The Valley
The prophet Elijah was ecstatic about the miracle on the mountain when God revealed his mighty power against the power of dead pagan gods.
Later we find Elijah deeply depressed. How can he change so fast?
It’s good to look back at victories, but believers can’t live in the past. Living for Christ is a daily matter.
Communing with the Lord and getting in His Word is necessary for strength to face the jungle. Whether on the mountain or in the valley, the Lord is with His children, ever leading them in paths of righteousness.
God didn’t chastise Elijah. He sent an angel to help him and gave Him strength to go on. He’ll do the same for you.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Cherished Memories
As the Apostle Paul considers the horrible man he was before Jesus found him and all that Jesus has done for him, he bursts into a doxology of praise to the glory of God.
1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I cherish the memory of where Jesus found me and saved me. I tear up with honor and glory to Him for what He brought me through over the years and where He’s taking me. The Lord has been good and gracious to me. I can’t help but praise Him.
Consider how God has affected your life. Praise Him. Love Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Perfect Peace
In a perfect world hostility, conflict and oppression surrenders to peace, harmony and tranquility.
But our world is not perfect. Trouble captures peace and flings it out the window.
Peace, perfect peace, is found in Jesus Christ alone.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Trust Him. Believe His promises.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

To Be Like Jesus
Ephesians 5:1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
How can we -- sinful, human, frail, flawed people -- ever be like Christ or love like Him? Well, certainly not by our own power.
As redeemed children of God, we are empowered to live like, act like, and talk like Jesus, to live holy lives for His glory.
The challenge is to bring our tongues, our anger, our work ethic, our bitterness, and revenge seeking under the control of God - to be forgiving, kind and compassionate toward one another.
With help from the Holy Spirit we learn to do this from God’s Word, from watching Him work in the lives of others, from simply walking with Him.
So, walk with Jesus. Learn from Him. Be like Him.

The Hush Of The Thunder
As believers, when we allow God to be Lord of our lives, we will never weather a storm alone.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I didn’t see Jesus walk on water, but I know He did. I believe He stunned the fishermen when he got in their boat and said, “Peace be still,” and the angry waves relaxed.
But I did see the Lord restore my soul, rescue me from the grip of death, and repair a dysfunctional kidney. I could go on.
You don’t have to fear when Jesus is in your boat. When He calms the turmoil that’s jolting your life, the hush of the thunder is as still as the waters encompassing fishermen in a boat with Jesus.

Exceeding Abundantly Above All
Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
The Apostle Paul went from “Who art thou, Lord?” to “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
What made the difference? Paul’s faith had been expanded on numerous occasions by the trials of life and the power of God. That’s what the Lord is up to in your life and mine.
If we can trust Him to take care of us, there’s nothing He can’t do,
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
