Praise Him,

Psalm 103:8  The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

All of life is tempered by the grace of God — grace for every step along the way. 2 Cor. 12:7-9.

Like a crown that encircles the head, God’s grace encircles all of life. As a result, we need not fear! Why? He is with us – Heb. 13:5.

The world can deliver only death, pain and heartache. The Father gives life, peace and blessing.

God gives us His strength to run the race, fight the fight and live the life, Isa. 40:31.

With all these great blessings and benefits, isn’t He worthy of our worship and praise?

Trust And Obey

When David was an old man He knew that serving God always paid off.

Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

If you will walk with your faith in God and live your life to please Him, He will commit Himself to taking care of you.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God's will for us is that we stay the course, that we trust and obey..

There will be an end to our struggles down the line, but for the moment, we are to faithfully abide in the will of the Lord, and allow Him to have His will in us.

“When we walk with the Lord — in the light of His Word.  — What a glory He sheds on our way. — While we do His good will, — He abides with us still, — And with all who will trust and obey.

“Trust and obey, — for there’s no other way — To be happy in Jesus, — but to trust and obey.

“Not a shadow can rise, — not a cloud in the skies, — But His smile quickly drives it away; — Not a doubt or a fear, —  not a sigh or a tear, —  Can abide while we trust and obey.

“Not a burden we bear, — not a sorrow we share, — But our toil He doth richly repay; — Not a grief or a loss, — not a frown or a cross, — But is blessed if we trust and obey. —

But we never can prove — the delights of His love — Until all on the altar we lay. — For the favor He shows, — for the joy He bestows, — Are for them who will trust and obey

“Then in fellowship sweet — we will sit at His feet, — Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; — What He says we will do, — where He sends we will go; — Never fear, only trust and obey.”

Give Them All To Jesus

Sometimes life just gets us down, and we find ourselves in the pits. What to do?

1 Peter 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

True humility before the Lord merely means surrender.  As long as we seek to promote ourselves, we will never amount to much for the glory of God.

But when we turn loose of our lives and willingly place ourselves under the Lord, He will use us for His glory.

Thank God, there is One who is stronger than we are and Who is willing to carry our load.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

When we are burdened, it touches the heart of God and He is moved on our behalf. Give it all to Jesus

How Great Thou Art

Isaiah 40:28-29 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

[29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

There has never been a time when God wasn’t, and there will never be a time when He isn’t.

God depends upon no one. He exists within Himself, by Himself and for Himself.

Our God made everything out of nothing. He has the power to create worlds with just His Word.

He doesn’t faint or grow weary.

That is the God we serve, and that is the God who takes our part through the tumultuous ways of life.

“O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, — Consider all the works Thy hands have made; — I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, — Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, — How great Thou art! How great Thou art! — Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee, — How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

“When through the woods, and forest glades I wander, — And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. — When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur — And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

“And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing; — Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; — That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, — He bled and died to take away my sin.

“When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, — and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. — Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, — And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Hold To God’s Unchanging Hand

My unseen future will end with me in Heaven with the Lord. I look forward to that, and I believe that all the Redeemed should be excited with me. Meanwhile, we wait.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Instead of allowing the antics and sins of the wicked to make us angry, we are told to "rest in the Lord".

While we wait, don't be discouraged by the worldly crowd. Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Just remember that the story is still unfolding, and we haven't lived through the last scene.

Keep your eyes on the sky, wait patiently for the Lord to finish His plan for the ages and know that the best is yet to come.

God Is Able

Time and again God demonstrated His power in the midst of His people.

Imagine seeing Him part the Red Sea, drop manna from heaven every day for forty years, and defeat all your enemies.

Imagine the thrill of seeing His glory as He came down upon the Tabernacle and seeing the pillar of cloud and of fire.

He still possesses all power in Heaven and in earth.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Our God, whom we serve, is able.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Think of the times the Lord has delivered you, when He saved you and the times He moved mountains in your life.

Remember His power and all that He has done. Let His past works remind you that He is able, no matter what you face in life.

He is able to deliver thee;
Tho' by sin opprest, Go to Him for rest;
Our God is able to deliver thee.”

Fashioned ByThe Master

Ephesians 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are saved because Jesus took the shapeless, dead clay of our lives in His loving, powerful hands, and He molded us into something new for His glory.

With loving care and infinite skill, God shaped us by His grace and wrote His love into our lives.

We are in the hands of the great Maker, the ultimate sculptor who created the universe out of nothing, and he has never yet thrown away the clay on which he has begun a masterwork.

God remakes us into the image of His Son, Gal. 4:19; Rom. 8:29; Eph. 4:24

We are not perfect the instant we get saved, but we are changed. That change should manifest itself in an ever-increasing holiness before God and before the world.

“There really ought to be a sign upon my heart — Don't judge me yet, there's an unfinished part — But I'll be better just according to His plan — Fashioned by the Master's loving hand.
