To God Be The Glory

Galatians 1:3-5 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

[4] Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

[5] To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

It was cancer that caused me to thank God for each new day.

We can never praise Jesus enough for all He has done for us.

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory, great things He hath done,    —    So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,    —    Who yielded His life an atonement to sin,    —    And opened the life gate that all may go in.

CHORUS:

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,    —    Let the earth hear His voice!    —    Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,     —    Let the people rejoice!    —    Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,    —    And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.

Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,    —    To every believer the promise of God;    —    The vilest offender who truly believes,    —    That moment from Jesus a pardon receives. - - -

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, — And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;    —    But purer, and higher, and greater will be    —    Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see. - - -

Standing On The Promises

2 Peter 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Some of my favorite promises are:

“… him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37);

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28, 29)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).

Standing on the promises of Christ my King,    —   Through eternal ages let His praises ring,    —   Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,    —   Standing on the promises of God.

CHORUS:

Standing, standing,    —   Standing on the promises of God my Savior;    —   Standing, standing,    —   I’m standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises that cannot fail,    —   When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,    —   By the living Word of God I shall prevail,    —   Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I now can see    —   Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;    —   Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,    —   Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,    —   Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,    —   Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,    —   Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,    —   List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call,    —   Resting in my Savior as my all in all,    —   Standing on the promises of God.

On Jordan’s Stormy Banks

Philippians 1:21-24 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

[22] But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

[23] For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

[24] Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Do you ever get homesick?

One day the wait will be over and we will be home.

I long for that day!

On Jordan’s Stormy Banks

On Jordan’s stormy banks I stand, — And cast a wishful eye —  To Canaan’s fair and happy land, —  Where my possessions lie.

CHORUS:

I am bound for the promised land,    —    I am bound for the promised land; — Oh, who will come and go with me? — I am bound for the promised land.

All o’er all those wide, extended plains    —    Shines one eternal day;    —    There God the Son forever reigns,    —    And scatters night away.

No chilling winds or poisonous breath    —    Can reach that healthful shore; — Sickness and sorrow, pain and death, —  Are felt and feared no more.

When shall I reach that happy place, — I’ll be forever blest? —  For I shall see my Father’s face,  —  And in His bosom rest.

My Tribute

Psalm 116:12 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

The words of the Psalmist should be our own question.  How do we feel about what Jesus has done in our lives?

Perhaps, we need to renew our commitment to Him, express our love,

and lift our praise for His Salvation.

My Tribute

______________

How can I say thanks  — for the things You have done for me?    —  Things so undeserved,  —  yet You gave to prove Your love for me;  — The voices of a million angels  — could not express my gratitude.  —  All that I am and ever hope to be,   —  I owe it all to Thee.

CHORUS:

To God be the glory,    —    to God be the glory,    —    to God be the glory   —  for the things He has done.  —  With His blood He has saved me,  —  with His power He has raised me;  —  to God be the glory   —  for the things He has done.

[Bridge:]

Just let me live my life  —  let it be pleasing, Lord to Thee,  —  and if I gain any praise,  —  let it go to Calvary.   —   With His blood He has saved me,  —  with His power He has raised me;  —  to God be the glory   —  for the things He has done.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

[23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

God is greater, by far, than any problem we have or will ever face.

He is an awesome God, and His children need to remember that great truth.

God will take care of you! Trust Him.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;    —    There is no shadow of turning with Thee,    —    Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not,    —    As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

CHORUS:

Great is Thy faithfulness! — Great is Thy faithfulness! — Morning by morning new mercies I see;    —    All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.    —    Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,  —  Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above;    —    Join with all nature in manifold witness,    —    To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. - - -

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,    —    Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;    —    Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow,    —    Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Wherever He Leads I’ll Go

Matthew 16:24  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Are we willing to go all the way for Jesus — just a steady, humble walk that follows His footsteps and His path through this world?

Wherever He Leads I’ll Go

“Take up thy cross and follow Me,” — I heard my Master say; —  “I gave My life to ransom thee,    —    Surrender your all today.”

CHORUS;

Wherever He leads I'll go.    —    Wherever He leads I'll go. — I'll follow my Christ who loves me so. — Wherever He leads I'll go.

He drew me closer to His side,    —    I sought His will to know.    —    And in that will I now abide,    —    Wherever He leads I'll go. - - -

It may be thru' the shadows dim,    —   Or o'er the stormy sea,   —   I take the cross and follow Him,    —   Wherever He leadeth me. - - -

My heart, my life, my all I bring — To Christ who loves me so.  —   He is my Master, Lord, and King, — Wherever He leads I'll go. - - -

If That Isn’t Love

1 John 4:10-11 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

[11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Man can never reach a place when he will not be loved by God.

God loved us first, He loved us anyway, and He loves us eternally.

If That Isn’t Love

___________________________

He left the splendor of Heaven, — Knowing His destiny, —

Was a lonely hill of Golgotha, — There to lay down His life for me.

CHORUS:

If that isn't love,  —    The ocean is dry.  —    There's no stars in the sky, — And the sparrow can't fly, — If that isn't love, — Then Heaven's a myth.  —    There's no feeling like this,  —    If that isn't love.

Even in death He remembered,  —    The thief hanging by His side.  —    He spoke with love and compassion,  —    Then He promised him paradise. - - -

The God on The Mountain

Psalm 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I’ve experienced some unforgettable mountain top experiences in my lifetime, times alone with Jesus and His sweet Spirit.

I’ve also found the same Lord and sweet Spirit comforting me in the valleys of my life.

The God on The Mountain

Life is easy, when you’re up on the mountain,   —    And you’ve got peace of mind, like you’ve never known.   —    But things change, when you're down in the valley.    —    Don't lose faith, for you’re never alone.

CHORUS:

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley. —  When things go wrong, He’ll make them right,   —    And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times.   —    The God of the day is still God in the night.

We talk of faith way up on the mountain.   —    But talk comes easy when life's at its best.    —    Now its down in the valleys with trials and temptations.    —    Thats where your faith is really put to the test. - - -
