No One Ever Cared For Us Like Jesus

In every valley, every dark night of the soul, every illness, every situation in life; we have the blessed presence of the Lord to help and comfort us. We are never alone.
Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Even when we don’t know it, the Lord holds our hand and carries us over the trenches. He’s always there.

So, never think that God doesn’t care or hear or isn’t there in troubled times. No one ever cared for us like Jesus.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Divine Silence

We need the Lord to help us through this life. That’s why we pray. Have you ever prayed, needing immediate help, and God didn’t answer right away?
Mary and Martha experienced this when they prayed for Jesus to heal their sick brother, John 11:3-44.

Jesus waited so that something greater would take place. It brought more glory to God for Lazarus to die than for him to be healed.

Two days later the Lord visited Mary and Martha. Lazarus was dead, in the tomb, and everyone expected him to stay there. He smelled dead.

John 11:41-43 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

Sometimes God will wait until He is the only explanation.

John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

It’s good to know how to react to Divine Silence. Wait upon the Lord.

Commit Your Way To The Lord

The formula for success in the life of the Saint is as simple as trusting in the Lord and living for Him every day.
Psalm 37:5-6 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Job committed his "way" to the Lord and trusted Him while suffering the greatest tragedy of his life.

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

When we are walking in faith, placing our burdens at the feet of Jesus—He will take care of us.

Believers who live a life that pleases the Lord will enjoy His smile upon them.

Our faith will never be in vain.

Rock Of Ages

The Psalmist David has the assurance that when life threatens to overflow him, the Lord will set him on a rock, a place that is unchangeable, powerful and immovable.
Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Of course, this Rock is none other than the Lord Himself, Psa. 40:1-2.

This is the gift to all those who know Him. We are promised a place of refuge that will lift us far above the stormy seas that threaten to drown us.

We are required to do nothing but be in a close relationship with the Lord.

Praise God for sheltering us from battles.

When I Survey The Wondrous Cross

The day the King was crucified was an infamous day in the annals of history.
Sin was defeated—the power of Satan forever broken—and death was invaded by the Prince of Life.

It was infamous because Jesus came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

It was infamous because the Creator was put to death by His creatures.

On the cross the Lord Jesus brought salvation and life to all who will believe.

We can only come into the presence of God by the blood of Christ—blood shed on the cross—blood that makes men and women worthy to go to Heaven,

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

It was a glorious  day when I understood that I was a sinner, and Jesus died for me, and I responded to His call by faith and was saved by His grace—Redeemed.

The Victory Shout

After marching seven times around the strong walls of the City of Jericho, the Israelites would have been too pooped to fight anyway.

They were at a place where they couldn't tear down the walls, but they knew God could. So they shouted as God had instructed, and a miracle happened.
The walls fell—flat!

The shout before the walls fell was a shout of faith, knowing God would give the victory.

That’s what faith is about. That kind of faith honors the Lord.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Victory over our battles will come when we realize it’s totally out of our hands and in the hands of God. Then we will see all that God can bring to pass in a life wholly dedicated to Him.

Great Truths In The Valley

In the valleys of life we are reminded of several great truths that we often forget when life is easy. We are reminded that:

—Jesus is always with us - Hebrews 13:5.
—Even our valleys are planned by the Lord - Romans 8:28.
—Our trials are helping us grow in the Lord - 2 Cor. 4:17.
—Something better is waiting down the way - Rom. 8:18.
—When times are bad, God is still good - Job 1:20-21.

We would rather be spared from the valleys of life, but when we come out on the other side we will know the Lord better and be stronger in the faith.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
