The Path Of Life

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

One of the six recorded songs filed at a mortuary in Kansas is "I Have Never Walked Alone". It's my testimony. On God's Path or off, God was always with me.

What I like about God's Path is the fullness of joy, the pleasure, and peace of being in His presence.

If you are searching for the will of God in your life, believe David's prayer -- "Thou wilt show me the path of life".

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Christian, are you traveling the path God planned for you? If you have never trusted Christ as your personal Savior, believe in Jesus. There is hope and joy on God's path.

Bearing Fruit For The Master

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

All believers should want to bear fruit for the Master. To bear fruit, we must be separated from the world and saturated with the Word of God. We must draw upon spiritual resources.

We bear fruit of the Spirit when we allow the Spirit of God to work in us and through us (surrender). As we grow in the Spirit, the grace of God will help us produce more fruit.

Make the Bible your main spiritual resource. Delight in it and feed your soul with its truth every day. Then step back and watch God use you for His glory. Whatsoever you do will prosper..

The Master Craftsman

When you think about the raw material God has to work with when He saves sinners and changes lives, it becomes more incredible. With loving care and infinite skill, He shapes us by His grace. We are His workmanship.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The Master Craftsman takes something worthless and transforms it into something of infinite value to Him. He makes a new creature of a dead sinner. How? He does it in Christ Jesus, the only way of salvation for the whole world.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me.

To be in Christ you must come to Jesus by faith, trusting Him to save your soul.

When Jesus Touches A Life

Psalm 40:2,3  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: . . . .

Thank God, Jesus still saves sinners who believe in Him and has a plan of direction for their lives. Thank God, He saved me.

When Jesus touches a believing soul, they are redeemed from the death, dread, and doom of their sins. He sets their feet upon a "Rock", a place of safety high above the slimy mud they used to live in. This Rock is Jesus.

When Jesus touches a life, bitterness, darkness, and hopelessness are replaced with joy, light, and peace. He puts a new song of praise in your heart.

Shackled by a heavy burden
'Neith a load of guilt and shame
Then the hand of Jesus touched me
And now I am no longer the same.

God Takes Care Of His Own

The story of the prophet Elijah in First Kings is a fascinating account of the almighty power of God delivering him from hopeless circumstances.

During a drought, ravens brought Elijah food till the creek in the desert ran dry. Then God led him to a poverty stricken widow about to eat her last meal and die with her son.

Elijah asked her to feed him first and she did. God replenished her meal and oil for three years when it came time to eat. When her son died God used Elijah to bring him back to life.

1 Kings 17:16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord which he spake by Elijah.

If you are a child of God, be assured that He will take care of you and your circumstances in a mighty  way.

A Praise In The Valley

This is my favorite praise verse, especially for the valleys. It's worth memorizing. David sang it while fleeing Saul.

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength in whom I will trust: my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my high tower.

When Job, a wealthy man, lost everything, including his family and health, he fell down and worshipped God in his grief.

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: blessed be the name of the Lord.

We would do well to remember that one of the surest ways out of the valley is to exalt the name of the Lord.

Precious Trials

1 Peter 1:6,7 . . . . if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [7]  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

PRECIOUS TRIALS:
The disciples would never have known Jesus could walk on water if there hadn't been a storm.

Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego would never have known the protection of God in the fire had they not been thrown into the fiery furnace.

Mary and Martha would never have known that Jesus could raise Lazarus from the dead had he not died.

I never would have known that Jesus could deliver me in two "high dose chemo" treatments--each a month long-- without nausea and including me in the 15% survival rate had I not been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Stand still and see the glory of God in your precious trial.
