Amazing Grace

Grace is defined as the undeserved love and favor of God toward fallen man. That’s awesome!

It means that any sinner can be saved for Heaven when they believe.  Any storm can be weathered. Any situation can be faced.

When we sing Amazing Grace, we are singing the truth.

Titus 2:13-14 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Grace gives us a blessed hope, a hope that separates us from the rest of the world.

God’s grace stirs that blessed hope within us as we look for Jesus to catch us up to meet Him in the clouds and be with Him forever. 1 Thes. 4:13-18;

Faith, Hope And Charity

When Faith, Hope and Love are exercised together, they help us to weather any storm that arises in our lives.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

It takes faith to follow God into an unknown future, believing that He will work all things out for your good and His glory.

Those who have anchored their hope in the Word of God know that even the rough seas of life are under His control.

Charity is genuine love that keeps all the relationships in our life in perfect balance.

When we love the Lord as we should, nothing will be allowed between us. When we love our brothers and sisters as we should, nothing will be tolerated between us.

1 Corinthians 13:4  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Sufficient Grace

Whatever it was that afflicted the Apostle Paul, it was part of God’s plan for his life. It kept him humble. He asked God three times to remove it.
2 Corinthians 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

When life is easy we may forget how much we need the Lord.  We may get slack in our devotional lives and tend to become too self-sufficient.

When trouble comes and we are hurting, we are shocked back to reality. Difficulty will drive us to our knees.

The Lord knows that, so He allows us to walk through some desolate places so that we might seek His face.

But God will give grace to support us and sustain us regardless of what we face before we get out of this life.

Thank God for His grace.

Salvation Is Simple

When Jesus says, "Get out of the gutter and follow me," adults often refuse because it sounds too simple. It is!

Jesus doesn’t require perfection. He requires faith in Him. I suppose that’s why it’s so easy for little children to be saved.

Mark 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Children are used to depending on others for what they need. Mama and daddy take care of everything, so it’s easy for them to trust Jesus and be saved.

Adults are different. We are conditioned to make our own way in the world. We are taught to stand on our own two feet.

I believe we need a dose of childishness in our lives.

Jesus has the power to take any life that has been broken by sin and make it over again. Seek Him. He has the power to use us for His glory when we let Him.

The King’s Highway

Isaiah 35:8,10 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; . . . . .And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
That millennial highway terminates in Zion. The road we travel leads to glory.

Those who walk the King’s Highway experience His peace, Phil. 4:7 —- His joy, 1 Pet. 1:8 —- His presence, Heb. 13:5 —- and His blessings along the way, Phil. 4:19, Matt. 6:25-34.

Regardless of the path we are called to walk in this life, the King’s Highway leads His pilgrims home.

There is “joy and gladness” at the end of the way. “Sorrow and sighing will flee away” when the pilgrims reach the end of the road.

Life In A Nutshell

"I think I've discovered the secret to life--you just hang around until you get used to it."
—Charlie Brown's sister, Sally

"Much of the time life is like going through the airport steering a loaded luggage cart with one bad wheel. Sometimes you just feel ridiculous, sometimes you actually look ridiculous, and sometimes all you can do is just try to push it in generally the right direction." —Marilyn vos Savant, World’s Record for highest IQ

God has given us His word, the Bible—a book that has much to say about life and how we should live it.

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Proverbs 9:10-11 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

We only receive one life, so we need to spend it wisely, doing the will of the Lord and preparing ourselves to meet Him when this life is over.

Pure, Perfect Worship

Anyone can sing, shout, testify and give God fleshly worship, but only a believer who is in a vital love relationship with Jesus can give Him pure, perfect worship.
Psalm 135:3 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

Our worship should be personal. I don’t know what the Lord has done for you, but I know what He has done for me

I know about the day He saved me. I know about the times He moved my mountains.

I know about the times He breathed new life into my wilted heart.

I know about His grace, His mercy, and His glory.

I know these things, and the least I can do is worship Him for them.
