Have Thine Own Way, Lord

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Jesus is working in the lives of believers to make them like Him.

He wants us to be willing to surrender our plans, goals, wants and wishes to His will.

We should humble ourselves and pray the words in this song.

Have Thine Own Way, Lord

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! —  Thou art the Potter, I am the clay. —  Mold me and make me after Thy will, —  While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! — Search me and try me, Master, today! — Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now, —  As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! —  Wounded and weary, help me, I pray! —  Power, all power, surely is Thine! —  Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! —  Hold o’er my being absolute sway! —  Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see —  Christ only, always, living in me.

Until Then

Hebrews 13:14-15  For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

[15] By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God

continually that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

The Redeemed of the Lord can rejoice that this world is not the end all of our Christian journey.  There is something better down the road.

A city awaits us where we can rest from our labors and enjoy the sweet presence of the Lord.

Until Then

__________

My heart can sing when I pause to remember  —  A heartache here is but a stepping stone  — Along a trail that's winding always upward, —  This troubled world is not my final home.

CHORUS:
But until then my heart will go on singing,    —    Until then with joy I'll carry on,    —    Until the day my eyes behold the city,  —  Until the day God calls me home.

The things of earth will dim and lose their value    —    If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;    —    And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,    —    Remembered there will only bring a smile.

This weary world with all its toil and struggle    —    May take its toll of misery and strife;  — The soul of man is like a waiting falcon;  —  When it's released, it's destined for the skies.

Tell Me The Story Of Jesus

1 Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery ofgodliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, see of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

I love hearing the story of Jesus and the mystery of godliness.

I want to hear more.

Tell Me The Story Of Jesus

Tell me the story of Jesus,      Write on my heart every word.      Tell me the story most precious,      Sweetest that ever was heard.      Tell how the angels in chorus      Sang as they welcomed His birth:      “Glory to God in the highest!      Peace and good tidings to earth.

CHORUS:

Tell me the story of Jesus,      Write on my heart every word.      Tell me the story most precious,      Sweetest that ever was heard.

Fasting alone in the desert,      Tell of the days that are past;      How for our sins He was tempted,      Yet was triumphant at last.      Tell of the years of His labor,      Tell of the sorrow He bore;      He was despised and afflicted,      Homeless, rejected and poor.- - -

Tell of the cross where they nailed Him,      Writhing in anguish and pain.      Tell of the grave where they laid Him,      Tell how He liveth again.   Love in that story so tender,      Clearer than ever I see;      Stay, let me weep while you whisper,      “Love paid the ransom for me.  - - -

Tell how He’s gone back to heaven, Up to the right hand of God:  How He is there interceding      While on this earth we must trod  Tell of the sweet Holy Spirit.      He has poured out from above;      Tell how He’s coming in glory      For all the saints of His love. - - -

Now I Belong To Jesus

Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Above all else, our lives are to be pleasing to the Lord, because believers

belong to Jesus, 1 Cor. 6:19-20.

How does our lives fit into God’s plan for our lives?

If we live lives that honor Him, He will take care of the

rest.

Now I Belong To Jesus

Jesus, my Lord will love me forever,    —    From Him no pow'r of evil can sever,    —    He gave His life to ransom my soul;    —    Now I belong to Him;

CHORUS:

Now I belong to Jesus,    —    Jesus belongs to me,    —    Not for the years of time alone,    —    But for eternity.

Once I was lost in sin's degradation,    —    Jesus came down to bring me salvation,    —    Lifted me up from sorrow and shame,    —    Now I belong to Him; - - -

Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me, — Freed me from sin that long had enslaved me — His precious blood, He came to redeem, — now I belong to Him; - - -

My Faith Looks Up To Thee

2 Corinthians 5:7  For we walk by faith, not by sight:

God allows us to pass through

disease, aging, death and other

tragedies to prepare us for glory.

That’s why we walk by faith and

not by sight.

My Faith Looks Up To Thee

My faith looks up to Thee,   —   Thou Lamb of Calvary,  —  Savior divine!   —    Now hear me while I pray,  —  Take all my guilt away,  —   Oh, let me from this day   —   Be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart  — Strength to my fainting heart, — My zeal inspire!  —  As Thou hast died for me,  —  Oh, may my love to Thee  —    pure, warm, and changeless be,    —    A living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread,  — And griefs around me spread, — Be Thou my guide;    —    Bid darkness turn to day,    —    Wipe sorrow’s tears away,   —   Nor let me ever stray   —   From Thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,    —    When death’s cold, sullen stream    —    Shall o’er me roll;  —  Blest Savior, then in love,  —  Fear and distrust remove;  —  Oh, bear me safe above,  —  A ransomed soul!

Rock of Ages

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

It's no wonder David praised the Lord his Rock.

We have the same reasons that he had, so let's praise the Lord, our Rock and honor Him and resolve in our hearts that we will worship and serve Him in "spirit and in truth."

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, — Let me hide myself in Thee; — Let the water and the blood, — From Thy wounded side which flowed, — Be of sin the double cure, — Save from wrath and make me pure.

Could my tears forever flow, — Could my zeal no languor know, — These for sin could not atone; — Thou must save, and Thou alone. —  In my hand no price I bring,  —  Simply to Thy cross I cling.

While I draw this fleeting breath,    —    When my eyes shall close in death,    —    When I rise to worlds unknown,    —    And behold Thee on Thy throne,    —    Rock of Ages, cleft for me,    —    Let me hide myself in Thee.

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

Matthew 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

With Salvation Jesus gives rest manifested in:

— Peace, Rom. 5:1

— Calmness, Rom.8:16

— Quietness, John 6:37

— Refreshment Isa. 40:31

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

________________________________

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,    —    Since I found in Him a

friend so strong and true;    —    I would tell you how He changed my life

completely,    —    He did something that no other friend could do.

CHORUS:

No one ever cared for me like Jesus, — There's no other friend so kind as He;    —

No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,    —    O how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me,  —  All my heart was full of

misery and woe; — Jesus placed His strong and loving arms about me, — And

He led me in the way I ought to go.

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance, — More and more I understand

His words of love; — But I'll never know just why He came to save me —  Till

some day I see His blessed face above.
