Your Lord Will Fight For You

You may never know that Christ is all you need until Christ is all you have left. The Children of Israel discovered this at the Red Sea as Pharoah's army charged them from behind.

Exodus 14:13,14 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of The Lord, which he will shew you today, for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

God rolled back the sea and Israel passed over on dry land. When Pharoah's army pursued, Moses stretched forth his arms and the sea walls drowned the enemy and all the chariots.

Caught between a rock and a hard place, God victoriously fought for me time and again.

If it had not been for The Lord on my side
Tell me where would I be? Where would I be?
He kept my enemies away
He let the sun shine through a cloudy day
He wrapped me in the cradle of His arms
When He knew I'd been battlered and torn
If it had not been for The Lord by my side
Tell me where would I be? Where would I be?

A New Heaven And New Earth

In my lifetime I've never seen so much chaos in the world. Speaking of last day chaos, Christ said his redeemed shouldn't worry. He is preparing a better world for us.
Revelation 21;1-6 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband . . . . and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.
I'm kind of homesick for a country
To which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken
For time won't matter anymore

Beulah Land, I'm longing for you,
And some day on thee I'll stand.
There my home shall be eternal
Beulah Land -- Sweet Beulah Land.

God's Gift of Love

It's profound that God loved everyone so much that He sacrificed his Son to die on the cross for the sins of mankind.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
When Jesus forgives people of their sins, He writes their name in life's eternal book, secures for them a place in the family of God, and gives them a home in heaven.
I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within sinking to rise no more.
But the Master of the sea heard my desparing cry
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I

Love lifted me; Love lifted me
When nothing else could help. . . love lifted me.

Souls in danger, look above. Jesus completely saves
He will lift you by His love out of the angry waves
He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

Do you believe in Him? if not, ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your heart.

Jesus, The Hope Of Salvation

Jesus (God the Son) was both divine and human. Through Him man can receive the divine gift of eternal life. Christ existed before His incarnation at Bethlehem and before Genesis 1:1 -- as far as you can comprehend and beyond.
John 1:1,3-5,14  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . All things were made by Him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus is the light, revealing to all mankind their sinful condition and their need for forgiveness found only in Him. People can overcome the darkness of their sinful condition and come to the enlightment of spiritual understanding, found only in Jesus Christ.
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come unto your heart.

I Can Only Imagine

God made us for Himself, He redeemed us for Himself, and He is jealous of anything that grabs our attention from Him. He wants to be all that we need. He wants our praise, honor, and worship.
1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
God wants us to find our all in Him, and He wants to find His all in us.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine

Let God Be Magnified

I enjoy exciting sermons and spirit-filled gospel music. It lifts me up. However I've seen a few charismatic leaders try to manufacture the spirit by arousing enthusiasm. This kind of emotional hype is often mistaken for true spirituality.
One time a visitor at our church told me we weren't spiritual enough. We didn't make enough noise or raise our hands. I told him not to judge me. Only God knew the joy overflowing in my heart.
There is nothing wrong with raising your hands in praise, but you don't need pizzazz to muster up the spirit. God looks at the heart. Magnifiying God with humble praise, Bible study, and prayer will bless you all over.
Psalm 70:4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, let God be magnified.
When the Spirit of God sweeps a worship service in a hallowed whisper, you know you are standing on Holy Ground.

A Vision For Lost Souls

Proverbs 29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Good folks and bad folks die every day without knowing Jesus as their personal Savior. Are we concerned?  God gave Paul a vision for lost souls. In Acts 16 people were saved, families baptized, cities stirred, and prayers answered. The work of God flourished.
We need a vision like Livingstone had when he went to Africa. He walked among the people and braved the rigors of that land. Diseases racked his body, and a fever almost killed him.
He loved them to God until thousands were saved. They found him dead in the little pup tent, kneeling at his cot and praying, "O God, give me Africa."
The natives said, "His body belongs to England, but his heart belongs to Africa. Leave it here." So his heart was taken from his body and buried in the soil of Africa.
They sent his body back to England to be buried in Westminster Abbey where kings and important people of history are buried.
People need The Lord. How will they hear if we don't tell them?

Our Prayer Lives

There are some things that are only done by prayer. The average church member uses God like a spare tire. They throw Him in the trunk and say, "Stay there. If I have a blowout, I'll call on you."
Thank God for the sweet privilege of prayer. Great men of God have prayed.
When our personal prayer life becomes stagnant, we need to ask The Lord to search us out and help us, to show us if we are hoarding unforgiveness, doubt, and unclean attitudes. God won't answer our prayers until we shed this baggage.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Now we are ready to come to God with thanksgiving and faith, knowing He will hear us and answer our prayers.
Do we pray every day? We should.

"Faith" God When You Can't Feel Him

The thing that will reveal your faith is praying when no answer comes.
Job 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him; that I might come even to his seat.
This was the most severe test Job ever faced. Searching forward, backward, on the left and the right, he couldn't find God.
It wasn't when all of his ten children died. It wasn't when he lost all of his camels, oxen, sheep, goats, chickens or servants. And it wasn't when Mrs. Job said, "Just curse God and die." No, this was just part of it.
His greatest test was when he looked to God and God wasn't there. But he didn't lose faith.
Job 23:10  But he knoweth the way that I take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
So, you pray like you used to pray and there's no response -- no feeling. Here's where you believe God when you can't perceive Him. You "faith" Him when you can't feel Him. There are times when God wants to see what your faith will lead you to do.
In all this, Job sinned not nor charged God foolishly.

Learning To Lean

It is easy to flow with the crowd, but Christians who have definite convictions often stand alone. The battle-scared apostle Paul said, "No man stood with me, but all men forsook me." (2 Timothy 4:16)
For those who suffer for the gospel, there is a blessed promise. It was given to Paul, and it is for us.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness . . .
When people or circumstances disappoint us, we learn to lean upon Jesus and are more aware of His love and grace. Our Lord never fails His children.
Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
