The Touch Of The Master

Mark 7:32-35 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;  And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

We don’t serve a generic Lord who has a one size fits all touch. Jesus knows the condition of your heart and He wants to work with you in a personal way. He is never short on grace, healing, encouragement or salvation.

If you are lost in sin, Jesus will touch your heart concerning salvation. If you are troubled, He will bring peace. If you are wayward and wandering, He will bring conviction for you to return to the fold.

The touch of Jesus is powerful. He has power to calm the sea, heal blind eyes, lepers, the deaf, cast out demons, raise the dead, transform a life of sin, and reconcile us unto God.

Believe the touch of the Master.

Spiritual Blessings

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Spiritual blessings in heavenly places"  mean blessings  that originate in heaven.

Material blessings don’t last or they break or are spent, but we still have the best of God’s blessings. One of the greatest spiritual blessings we enjoy is that we were chosen in Christ by the grace of God, Redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

So the real blessings of life are those spiritual things that we always have---mercy, grace, friend, comforter, healer, and more. These blessings never change. Praise God.

Fear God

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

God isn't asking you to walk in fear or He will take some kind of celestial ball bat and beat you senseless. He wants you to live a life that He can use and bless. He wants you to walk in awe of Him. He wants your heart to be so filled with respect that you will die rather than dishonor Him and His name.

You will live no better than the level at which you honor and reverence God. If you see the Lord as being high and holy, as being a God of judgment, One Who hates sin; then you will live like you believe it.

But If you believe that God just winks at sin, and He might not really judge the world, then you will live at a much lower level. Your life will tell the world what you think of God.

A New Creature

Ephesians 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

When God makes a new creature out of a dead sinner, He  remakes them into the image of His Son, Eph. 4:23,24. We’re not perfect the instant we get saved, but we are changed. That change should manifest itself in an ever-increasing holiness before God and before the world.

He brings them out of death so they can live a new life through Christ. He brings them out of deception so they can know the truth,  so they can walk in righteousness,  so they can enjoy the blessings of His salvation.

Believers  are  a work in progress. But, I have it on good authority that God will finish what He starts in our lives.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

The Fulness Of Christ

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The Apostle Paul isn’t saying that believers become perfect, living above sin. No. He’s talking about our growth in the Lord, being united in the faith, changed by our knowledge of Christ, and becoming  spiritually mature.

We mature in the fulness of Christ by daily feeding on the Word of God, growing in knowledge and wisdom, graduating from the milk of the Word to the meat it offers.

As we walk with the Lord, facing trials, temptations, and storms; we gain wisdom and that helps mature us spiritually, to  become more like Jesus. That should be the goal and desire of every believer, to be conformed to the image of Christ.

Precious Things

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

PRECIOUS PROMISES: His Love, His presence,  His provision,  His grace,  His Heaven.

PRECIOUS TRIALS: Through the valley we know the Lord better, and we’re stronger in the faith.

PRECIOUS BLOOD: Jesus’ blood is the price of redemption, cleansing our sins, and  proof of God's love for us.

A PRECIOUS SAVIOR: Christ Jesus loves us, understands our needs, is always near to help us, and He paid the ultimate price to save us.

PRECIOUS FAITH: It’s totally the work of God. It’s foolproof. It’s eternal. It’s something that can be lived.

Grace In Time Of Need

God is not afraid of our “whys”. Our questions don’t scare Him, nor do they threaten Him. Still, He wants us to come to the place that even when we can’t find Him, we merely trust Him.

No matter how hard the winds blow, God is Ruler of the winds. No matter how rough the sea becomes, He is still the Master of the sea.

When God doesn’t answer right away, keep praying. Persist in your faith and it will pay dividends in His time. Never give up.

Determine in your heart that come what may, you will praise The Lord simply because He is worthy to receive all worship, glory and honor.

Hebrews. 4:15-16, For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
