Thank God, there are no limits to His power! He can move mountains, lift burdens, save a soul, meet needs, and change the lives of substandard saints -- transforming them by grace into vessels of honor for His glory. I'm glad Jesus doesn't give up on us when we stray.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. . . . .
John 15:5, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Years ago in Arkansas stirring sermons often urged me to do more for Jesus. But life was busy. I didn’t read the Bible like I should. Finally, I got out of church. Five years later the Lord gloriously brought me back in a unique way. My blessing cup overflowed for a couple of years.
During that time I was asked to teach a ladies Sunday School class, and I eagerly agreed. When I got home I panicked. What had I done? I didn’t know how to teach a ladies class. With the Lord’s help and trembling knees and voice, I taught those sweet ladies. I learned that when you teach, you get the greatest blessing because Bible study does that to you.
NORMA DAVIS ---- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus . . . Romans 8:1

Confronting Giants
Do you face giants greater then you? We all do at times, but believers can know that victory lies in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1997 during high dose chemotherapy in the hospital my port implant became clogged, and nurses had to stick my skin to get blood. After a few days I felt like a pin cushion, so I prayed and asked the Lord to fix it. When the sweet little Asian nurse came in to draw blood I asked her to use the port.
“But honey,” she said, “it doesn’t work yet. We’ll get it fixed.” “Please try it because I prayed.” She did, and when red rushed through the tube she shouted. “Praise the Lord!”
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Peace Of God
September 23, 2005 Hurricane Rita rams the gulf coast with violent winds, thrusting it’s fury beyond the forty-five miles inland where we live. The day before, we joined the creeping stream of vehicles headed north. With our English bulldog and my Singer embroidery/sewing machine head in the back seat, we wondered if we would return to our home or rubble.
“It’s just stuff,” I said, setting the Bible on my baby grand piano and whispering a prayer before leaving the house. A week later we returned to trees laying in the yard but no serious damage to the house – thank God.
We don’t know when the Lord will come to take us to glory, so we wait. While we wait, situations arise that may cause us to fear. We must learn to give our worry and fear to God. He will give us peace. We must learn to keep our eyes on the sky, wait patiently for the Lord to finish His plan for the ages, and know that the best is yet to come!
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Will You Also Go Away?
Jesus knew that the 5,000 filling their tummies with loaves and fishes followed Him to see the magic show because He knew their heart. When He asks them to commit to Him and to Him alone, they walk away.
John 6:67-69 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Peter’s life had been changed. No, he wouldn’t walk away. There came a time of weakness when he failed the Lord, but he didn’t walk away forever! He became a great preacher.
Once you’ve felt the powerful touch of Almighty God, walked in the light of His glory, tasted of His goodness and experienced His best, you will never be satisfied with substitutes and imitations!
What are we to think of those who walk away from the truth? We are to love them, pray for them, and leave them in the hands of God. At the same time, we should examine the level of our own commitment to the Lord!
Not everyone walks away from Jesus! In fact, some people make a total commitment to the Lord and to His will for their lives. I hope that is you.

Life Changing Power Of God's Grace
As surely as the stars, planets, sun and moon declare the existence and power of God, nothing declares His glory, His power, and His existence any more than a life that has been Redeemed by Grace!
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
When Jesus saves a believer, He takes the shapeless, dead clay of our lives in His loving, powerful hands and molds us into something new for His glory. With loving care and infinite skill, He shapes us by His grace and writes His love into our lives.
By the miraculous handiwork of the Master, God tells the world through our lives that He loves sinners; that His Son died to redeem the lost; that there is life-changing power in the grace of God.
Let the world see what God has done in you, with you and for you! If He is in your heart, He will let His presence be known through you.

Shall I Go Or Shall I Stay?
Philippians 1:21-23 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
I often feel that way. My heart longs to see the One who climbed the hill of Calvary and took my sins upon Him. Jesus Christ will be the single greatest sight in glory -- also called Beulah Land.
The Apostle Paul knew he had a service to perform for the glory of God, and was willing to forgo his longing to be with Jesus and get the job done.
Believers have been given the greatest message and mission that the world has ever known. It’s our duty to take it to a world that is wallowing and perishing in sin and to serve the Lord with all our hearts.

I’m kind of homesick for a country
To which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken
for time won't matter anymore.
Beulah Land, I'm longing for you
and some day on thee I'll stand.
There my home shall be eternal.
Beulah Land -- Sweet Beulah Land.

The Shadow Of The Valley
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Shadows can’t harm you when you walk with Jesus, because you’re walking in the light and in the light there are no shadows.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Our Shepherd is always close to us because we are His sheep. Leading, feeding, and protecting, He watches us all the time. God’s children should rejoice in that.
Our path may lead through difficult and dangerous places, but if we know the Great Shepherd, we know that He’s in absolute control of our path. We can pass through the shadows in peace and security. I felt that peace when I had cancer.
