Let’s Just Praise The Lord

Psalm 33:1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

There are many emotions that can grip our hearts, like pride, hate, malice, anger, envy, an unforgiving spirit, and a host of others.

No emotion is as elegant, as beneficial, or as beautiful as a heart that is filled with praise for the Lord. We should praise the Lord because:

— His Word is precious, filled with power, glory and hope to those who read it, honor it, and live by it.

— He is a Sovereign God and His will is going to be accomplished in earth and Heaven.

— He watches over all things, especially the needs of His people.

— As our trust in Him grows, our ability to rest in Him grows, and we can rejoice in spite of everything that is going on around us.

— For all He has done and will do in our lives.

— For His unmatchable, amazing, tender love.

“Let's just praise the Lord! Praise the Lord. —  Let's just lift our hearts to heaven and praise the Lord; —  Let's just praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.  —  Let's just lift our hearts to heaven an praise the Lord.

“We thank you for your kindness, —  we thank you for your love, —  We’ve been in heavenly places, —  felt blessings from above;  —  We've been sharing all the good things, the family can afford, — Let's just turn our hearts toward heaven and praise the Lord.

“Just the precious name of Jesus — is worthy of our praise,  —. Let us bow our knees before Him, —. our hands to heaven raise;  —  When He comes in clouds of glory,  —  with Him to ever reign,  —  Let's just lift our happy voices, and praise His name.”

Trust In The Lord

Believers can find peace in the most trying times.

Psalm 37:3-5 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

[4] Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

[5] Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

These verses comforted me during some serious health issues in my life.

I learned to walk by faith and not by sight.Things are never as they appear to our human vision.

When things look bad, know that God is still working out His eternal purposes in your life., Rom. 8:28.

At my lowest point in the hospital some twenty years ago, the Lord gave me a hug and a song.

“So let the storms rage high  —. The dark clouds rise  —  They don't worry me,  —  For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God. —  He walks with me and naught of earth shall harm me,  —  For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.”

Getting Your Needs Met

There Must Be Faith In The Will Of God. Trust that God knows what is best for your life and be willing to submit to His will even when you don't understand it.

There Must Be Faith In The Ways Of God - If you try to figure out what God is doing you will go crazy. Have faith. Learn to trust His ways, Isa. 55:8-9.

—. There Must Be Faith In The Work Of God  If you have submitted your life to the Lord, you are His responsibility. Too often we forget to Whom we belong,
1 Cor. 6:20; Matt. 6:25-33.

There Must Be Faith In The Word Of God - When you have God's word on an issue, that issue is settled forever.

Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

—. There Must Be Faith In The Wonder Of God - When we get beyond "God could and God might", and become confident that "God can and God will" — then we will see business pick up in that area of seeing our need met.

Ephesians 3:20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

“Do you want to hear the story of how I made it through, —  When life was full of trouble, pain, and fear; —  The answer may seem simple: though everything else crumbles, —  One thing has remained through all the years.

I still serve an amazing God, —  He's been with me every mile my weary feet have trod; —  He still cares, He still hears; —  He's still mending broken hearts and drying tears; —. This old world is bound to change, —. But I'm glad I know the One who always stays the same, —  And my song will ever be, —  Amazing God, You're still amazing me.

The God who parted waters still makes a way today, —  He's always brought me through the troubled seas. —  The One who fed the thousands, whose words could calm the tempest —  He's my Bread of Life, and He's my Peace.”

Persistent Prayer

Believers can learn from the parable of the persistent widow woman and the unwilling  judge .

Luke 18:3-5 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

[4] And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

[5] Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Because of her social and financial standing, she had no other hope but to  make a nuisance of herself.

This widow represents us.

The lesson here is this: We may not get the answer we want immediately, but keep asking, keep believing, and keep praying ‘till light breaks through.

Persistence in prayer pays off in God’s time.

Come Unto Me

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
COME UNTO ME

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

[29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

[30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus says that His yoke is easy. What does He mean? It means that "His yoke fits".

When we surrender to the Lord and to His will for our lives, we can be confident that He has perfectly and individually designed a yoke just for us.

That’s why He can also say that His burden is light. When we are surrendered to the Lord's yoke and are pulling the burden He has designed for us, there will be satisfaction, even in the midst of trials and afflictions.

It would do us good to learn to surrender to the yoke, because nothing fits our lives so well as the plan which Jesus has designed for it.

The Lord will allow nothing to harm us, but we can know that every burden we are called upon to pull has been placed there for our good, Rom. 8:28.

Whispering Hope

While the sovereignly of God controls the decisions that will affect the course of this world, His eye is on those who fear Him and hope in His mercy.

Psalm 33:18  Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

He sees everything that happens to you and me. He sees the pain, the problems. and the attacks of your enemies.

He sees the hurts, the fears, the valleys and the sorrows. Nothing escapes His gaze.

Through prayer and  faith, sermons, songs, and His precious Word; He whispers hope.

“Whispering hope. —  Oh, how welcome thy voice. —  Making my heart. — In its sorrow rejoice.

“If in the dusk of the twilight. — Dimed be the region afar. — Wilt deepening darkness. —  Brighten the glimmering star. — Then when the night is upon us,  —. Why should the heart sink away?  —. When the dark midnight is over. —  Watch for the breaking of day.”

A Song In Your Soul

Lifting our souls to the Lord through song is a tremendous way to bless His name and to exalt Him.

Psalm 100:2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

In fact, every child of God ought to have a song in their soul, for we are commanded to sing our songs of praise to Him.

Psalm 68:32, Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

The Lord also gives us encouraging songs during times of trials and sorrow.

I will sing of my Redeemer and his wondrous love to me;  —  On the cruel cross he suffered, —  from the curse to set me free.

“Sing, O sing of my Redeemer! —  With his blood he purchased me; —  on the cross he sealed my pardon, — paid the debt, and made me free.

You can have a melody down in your heart, — When it's aching, almost breaking. —  Even tho' the sorrow makes the teardrop start, —  You can have a melody down in your heart.

You can have a song in your heart in the night —. After every trial, after every mile. —  Anyone can sing when the sun is shining bright, —  But you need a song in your heart at night.

Do not let your worries drive your song away, — Though tomorrow brings its sorrow, —  Just remember after night time comes the day. —  Do not let your worries drive your song away.”
