David was a man who loved the house of God. I love my church because I find hope, help, fellowship, friendship, companionship, understanding, and worship. I need these.
Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of The Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of The Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of The Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
The church ought to be a place where the Word of God is honored, the will of God is sought and practiced, the power of God is on display, the praises of God are heard, prayer is offered to God, and where no man, no program and no denomination ever takes the place of The Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord has promised to meet with them who gather to worship him.
The church is a place for the unwanted, the pilgrim, the young, and the weary.
Don't ever allow anybody to keep you from worshipping at God's House, no matter how they live. Pray for them.
As believers facing the rubble that comes our way, we can know that the precious Holy Spirit is in us to guide us, to teach us, and to constantly remind us of the awesome love of God.
He makes broken pieces bearable. He makes our destination believable. If we will but learn to rest in Him, He has the power to keep our hearts in perfect peace despite pot holes and mud puddles and flat tires and medical reports and fear of the unknown.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.
Maybe you are experiencing trials that have just about gotten the best of you. Why not bring them to Jesus.
PSALM 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me: he shall set me up upon a rock.
God loves us so much that He tucks us away in His pavilion during trouble, a place of confidence and victory. Could there be a safer place in all the universe? Of course not.
This was what allowed David to face Goliath.This was the confidence that kept Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.This was the assurance that gripped the heart of Daniel. This was the knowledge that allowed Paul to continue even when he suffered greatly.
No place to hide but Lord in Thee.
Psalm 113:2,3 Blessed be the name of The Lord from this time forth and forevermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.
Praise has different personalities. Whether it involves shouting, crying, laughing, hand raising or a silent overflowing heart, it is pleasing to God.
Its amazing that the Almighty Creater bothers with earthly matters. Yet, His eye is on the sparrow, and He watches us so close that the very hairs of our heads are numbered. Praise God!
The Resurrected Redeemer takes us as He finds us and transforms us for His glory. Praise God!
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul, for supplying our needs, and for smoothing out the bumps and riding the storm waves with me.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Though he didn't understand it, Job, a wealthy and righteous man, lost everything he valued in life. "Though God slay me, yet I'll trust Him," he said. In the end his turmoil took a turn for the better.
Job 42:12 So The Lord blessed the latter end of Job "more" than his beginning:
Those who are blessed "more" walk a special path with God.
Those who get "more" blessings are those who humble themselves and yield to God.
Those who get "more" have power with God. They are in a place of intimacy with Him and He responds to their requests.
Those who get "more" soon discover that God has a way of bringing His "more" out of their "less".
Those who get "more" will find that they always have a reason to praise The Lord, even when the bottom falls out of life.
The best thing you will ever get out of life is saving faith by the grace of God.
Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.
When God puts His light in your heart, you stand out from the darkness around you.
The black middle-age woman preparing to draw my blood last week softly sang a song about her Savior. As she felt for my obscure vein, I said, "It sounds like you know my Savior."
She smiled. "I sure do, honey."
Oh that the Spirit of God delights us so that we get a good case of the "can't help its' and joy glows like a light in the darkness.
Ask The Lord to give you a shining faith that glorifies Him in this dark world.
Dr. R.A. Torrey was asked about the most profound concept he had ever learned from the Bible. Without hesitation, Mr. Torrey answered. "The most profound truth I have ever encountered in the word of God is this: Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death not life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come;
39. Nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The following verse was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an American insane asylum by a man said to have been demented. It was discovered when they laid him in his coffin.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky
