Victory In Jesus

Just as a goldsmith heats ore to remove impurities, God uses trials and afflictions to rid imperfections and impurities of the flesh.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

When He finishes with us, we will be less like ourselves and more like Jesus.

When do we pray more? When does the Bible mean the most? When are we most likely to seek the Lord? I’d  say when the heat is on. That’s just reality, and that’s why the Lord sends trials our way.

But, according to the Bible, the children of God are a victorious people. We can’t always see it. We don’t always feel it. We don’t always live like it, but It’s true, and with God’s help we can overcome the trials of our faith.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

In the end, victory comes down to faith. Either we believe what the Bible says or what our eyes see or what our minds think or what others say.

We should ask God to help us live out that victory everyday. in spite of how things look or how we feel about our circumstances, we have Victory In Jesus.

Jesus Is The Answer

There are no hopeless cases with the Lord Jesus. Your storm, your sin, your sickness or your lost loved ones are not hopeless. A woman with a blood disease had given up hope. Then she met Jesus.

Mark 5:28-29,34 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. , , , , And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

It wasn’t His garment that healed her, it was her faith that touched the power of Jesus and that changed her life.

If you’ve reached the place where other remedies failed, Jesus is the answer.

Dozens touched Jesus in the crowd that day, but only one was made whole. Only one looked at Him through eyes of faith. Don’t be one of those who brush against Jesus and leave unchanged.

Whether you are lost in sin or battling difficulty, Jesus is the answer.

Jesus is the answer, for the world today, Above Him there's no other, Jesus is the way. —Andrae Crouch

Peace

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Our feelings come from the heart. Our mind is where we do our thinking. When we see our burdens and  fears through human eyes we will develop wrong feelings and wrong thoughts. We need peace.

Peace is “a mind blowing experience”.  It’s when you are calm in the heart and mind despite the turmoil raging around you.

It’s a mysterious thing, but it’s God’s gift to those who trust in Him “in everything”. It’s the kind of peace Jesus promised His disciples,

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Job, Daniel, the 3 Hebrew boys, and David are only a few that had this kind of peace. I’ve had this kind of peace and it’s amazing!

Don’t let worry rob your peace. Give it to Jesus. Trust Him.

How Big Is God?

How big is God? He stood in the middle of nothing, took nothing, and created everything. That’s big!

He sent His perfect Word through human instruments, giving us a perfect inspired record and preserved that Word to this day. That’s big!

He sent His Son Jesus into this world to die for sin and sinners so that all who believe in Jesus will be saved, will have their sins forgiven, will be adopted into His family, and will go to Heaven to live with Him forever. That’s big!

But God is also God of the small. He specializes in the little to amaze men and reveal His glory,

He used a little stick in the hand of Moses to part the Rea Sea. He used a little boy named David who slung a little stone to remove a big giant.

Who knows what He will do with your little when you give it to Him.

It doesn’t take great faith to get big answers from the Lord.

Matthew 17:20, “…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Little is much when God is in it

If You Know The Lord

I hope you know you can enjoy peace in the Lord, even peace that "passes all understanding".

We used to sing this song: “If you know the Lord, you need nobody else to see you through your darkest night.“ I’ve traveled many dark nights with the peace of God.

Life is a race often fraught with difficulties, but if you know the Lord and keep your eyes on Him, you will find the race is easier. You will find peace in the Lord is easier to maintain, Heb. 12:1.

Psalm 37:3-4 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Prayers, Bible study, praise, and surrender pave the path to delight in the Lord. It’s a wonderful place to be.

Now That’s Amazing Grace

One of the few remaining members of the house of King Saul, Mephibosheth has lived most of his life poor and in fear that King David might find him and kill him.

He was five when his father, Nathaniel (son of Saul), was killed in battle and his nurse - fleeing with him for safety -  dropped him, leaving him crippled for life.

When David learns about a survivor of Saul’s family, he sends for him.

To his amazement David promises to restore all the wealth and glory that once belonged to the family of Saul, and gives Mephibosheth a permanent place at the King’s table. It seems that David’s best friend was Nathaniel.

Humble and happy,  Mephibosheth embraces the treasures of grace.

The same is true for those who experience God’s saving grace. We didn’t deserve it.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;

No wonder it’s called amazing.

Walk As Jesus Walked

How do you go about abiding in Jesus?

The only possible way to abide in Him is to spend time with Him, in His Word, and in prayer.

As we spend time with Him, we will learn more about Him. We will learn to love Him more, and we will find more areas of our lives to yield to His will and control.

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Just as Jesus was the manifestation of God to the world, we are to be the manifestation of Jesus to this world.

When they see us, they should see Him. When we walk as He walked, they will.
