Heaven’s Headlines

What if heaven published a newspaper? If they did, it would contain nothing but good news. Since Jesus is the centerpiece of Heaven, Col. 1:18, I’m sure every headline would be about Him in some way.

—John 3:16       For God So Loved The World
—John 19:30.    It Is Finished
—Luke 24:34    The Lord Is Risen Indeed
—John 14:2      I Go To Prepare A Place For You
—Rev. 22:20    Surely I Come Quickly
—1 Thes. 4:17 So Shall We Ever Be With The Lord
—Rev. 22:17    Whosoever Will, Let Him Come
—Acts 16:31    Believe On The Lord Jesus Christ And Thou Shalt Be Saved

The greatest news from the headlines of Heaven is the good news that any sinner who wants to be saved and go to Heaven can be by simply coming to Jesus by faith  Rom. 10:13.

Thank the Lord for precious promises from the Word of God. What do Heaven's Headlines mean to you?

Glorious Things

Many messages have been preached and many songs written about Heaven, and many saints have been comforted by them.
Psalm 87:3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

What a wonderful day we’ll have up in Glory. We’ll talk with the Lord and see Him in all His Glory. Imagine that.

We’ll walk on streets of gold. Imagine that.

We’ll see the saints of old and beloved saints we’ve been waiting to see.

Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Did I mention there will be no more pain or tears? Imagine that. Glory!

Heaven is a glorious place for a gloriously saved people. All you have to do to go there is receive Jesus as your personal Savior. Seek Him. Ask Him to forgive your sins.

When Jesus Touches A Life

The crowd must have scattered in horror as the leper approached. “Unclean! Unclean!” He shouted. He risked stoning, humiliation and death for being there.
But this Man from Nazareth was supposed to be healing the sick, and faith stirred his heart and pushed him toward Jesus.

The leper didn’t know what Jesus would do. He simply placed the matter in the Lord’s hands and left it up to Him. What faith. Then he said, “If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”

Mark 1:41-42  And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Everything changed that day. That leper was given a brand new life. That’s what Jesus does when He touches a life.

Jesus is ready to reach into your life and touch you at the very point of your need. Have faith.

To Know Him Better

As you consistently read God’s Word and walk with Him, there will be a desire to know Him better, to understand His Word better, to know Him in His fullness.

There will be some divine encounters where He will allow you to experience His grace and power.

Ephesians 3:17-19 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

When you get satisfied with yourself, you will grow spiritually cold. But, as long as there is a hunger in the heart and a desire for the Lord, there will be growth, closeness and blessing.

Peace With God

An old dying saint was asked an interesting question by a friend.
"Have you made you peace with God?"

"No, I haven't," the man replied.  To that his friend said, "What! Oh you must make peace with God."

"I'm sorry, I can’t do that."

"But you must! Don't you know it’s dangerous to die without making peace with God?"

To this the dying man said, "How can I make peace with God? My Lord made peace with me 2,000 years ago when He died on the cross for my salvation. I accepted His blood to cover my sins. I have had peace ever since."

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

We don't make peace with God because He made peace with us at the cross. When we accept that—believe in Jesus—we are given peace with God.

Precious Children

Imagine taking your child to the zoo and while you are there a lion escapes from its cage. If necessary, you will do everything in your power to place yourself between your child and that lion because your child is precious to you.
When the storms of life rise against you, you will find that there is a place of refuge in Jesus because you are His precious child.

Our God is a sovereign God. The winds and the waves obey His will. He keeps you safe.

Nahum 1:3 . . . . the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Did I mention the Lord gives peace in the storm?

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

God Of The Impossible

Jeremiah 32:26-27 Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Do you have a problem? Nothing is too difficult for God. He is still the God who:

—Possesses “all power in Heaven and in earth,” Matt. 28:18

—“Is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we can ask or think,” Eph. 3:20

—“Works all things after the counsel of His own will,” Eph. 1:11

He is God of the impossible, and that should comfort our hearts.
