Love Lifted Me

There is nothing like the love of God. It’s the most overwhelming thing I have ever encountered in my life. It’s the greatest thing God ever did for any of us.
God is a great God with a great love for great sinners.

His everlasting, unmerited, supernatural, satisfying love is unselfish. It asks for nothing in return.

1 John 4:19- We love him because He first loved us.

God's love can never be fully understood, but it is best seen at the cross.

His death on the cross, the death that released His precious blood, opened the door of salvation for every sinner who will come to God.

Eph. 1:7. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Faith Still Conquers

In his trials, Daniel learned what every saint can learn.
—God will either get you out of your trial or He will give you grace in your trial.

—What He doesn’t take away, He makes a way to take.

—Faith can still part your sea, fill your barrel, walk on your storm, and multiply your loaves and fishes.

—Faith still guarantees the victory for the child of God.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Truth is: our faith conquers all things. Don’t forget who God is and what He can do.

Dear, Heavenly Father,

When I pray and when I realize I’m addressing the Creator, a reverent calm pauses my words as I’m in awe of the Holy presence of God.

The rub of the world fades and my heart swells as I realize He loves me more than I will ever know, giving His beloved Son to die so I might be redeemed from my sins and go to Heaven.

Colossians 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Isaiah 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Faith comes easy when we speak to the Creator, aware of all He is.

Do you have a need? Large or small, in the name of Jesus tell the Creator and believe He will answer. Prayer is a great privilege.

The Unseen Hand

When his brothers ripped off his coat of many colors, threw him in a pit, ignored his pleas, then sold him to slavery; I wonder if Joseph questioned the dreams God had given him, Gen. 37:5-10dreams to rule over His brothers.
Holding the coat, now stained with animal blood, His father sobs. These no-good brothers tell Jacob an animal attacked him.

Behind the scenes of this terrible tragedy moved the unseen hand of God’s sovereignty. What appeared to be a hopeless situation was merely setting the stage for hope in the future. God had a plan and nothing could derail that plan.

There will be times when things appear hopeless, when the shattered pieces of our dreams will lie all around us. In times like these we have the precious promises of our great God to cling to, Rom. 8:28.

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Bring your shattered dreams to Jesus. Let Him give you help in dealing with them. Let Him give you hope.

A Child Of The King

Imagine being born into a family that was poverty stricken, dysfunctional and doomed, a family that didn't care for you at all.

Now imagine that a kind, gentle, and wealthy man tells you that he loves you and offers to take you in as his own child. All you have to do is go with him and consent to be his child.

That’s exactly what happens to every person who places their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

Bill and Gloria Gaither penned the following  words: “A Child Of The King”.

“Once I was clothed in the rags of my sin—Wretched and poor, lost and lonely within—
But with wondrous compassion the King of all kings—In pity and love took me under His wings.

Now I’m a child with a Heavenly home—My Holy Father has made me His own— Now I’m cleansed by His blood, and I’m clothed in His love—And some day I’ll sing with the angels above.

Oh, yes, oh yes, I’m a child of the King—His royal blood now flows in my veins—And I who was wretched and poor now can sing—Praise God, praise God, I’m a child of the King.”

Forgiveness

One moment they are standing before the Prime Minister of Egypt, the next moment the brothers of Joseph are looking into the eyes of the brother they sold as a slave twenty-two years earlier.
Joseph forgave his brothers because he could see the hand of God in everything that happened to him.

Genesis 45:8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

Have you ever been hurt by someone? Did you seek revenge or do you hold a grudge? If so, do you find that path a little weary and rugged, intent on eating you alive?

If you want peace of mind, you need to forgive. It’s not always easy and you may have to pray for help from Jesus, but Joseph left us a great example. He returned “good for evil”.
Matt. 5:44-48.

Whatever happens in your life and mine, God gave His permission—even the hurts we experience, Rom. 8:28.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

If He has allowed it, He will use it for our good and His glory in His time. Our duty is to accept the things that come our way and trust the Lord to work out His will through it.

If we can see God’s hand in the hurts we experience, it will make them easier to bear.

Have Faith In God

The prophet Elijah didn’t know how the Lord was going to feed him, the widow and her son, but he knew God was as good as His Word.
All the widow knew was that a God she knew very little about was telling her to give what little food she had to a man she knew nothing about.

I wonder if she was filled with fear as she watched Elijah eat the last of her food.  I wonder if she thought, “Well, there will be no last meal for us before we die.”

Regardless of her fears and doubts she did as Elijah requested. That’s mountain-moving faith.

1 Kings 17:15-16 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.

For the next three years, every time she used up the meal and oil, there was plenty the next time she needed some.

If we will forget about what we think we need and leave our care in the capable hands of God, He will take care of us. He takes care of the sparrow and promised to take care of us.
