He Leadeth Me

 Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 

[2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 


[3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.


The Shepherd tenderly leads His sheep to places of greatest safety and nutrition.


Jesus leads us into the green pastures of His Word, allows us to graze on the riches contained therein, and shelters us while we rest in the riches of His grace.  


What a tender Shepherd!  He fights off the world so we have time to rest in Him!  He tenderly meets our needs!

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

 Jeremiah 29:11,13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 

[13] And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.


God used a time when Israel thought they were forgotten and forsaken to make them stronger and better for His glory.


He also has specific thoughts about our tomorrows. 


If He knows when the sparrow falls to the ground, Matt. 10:29,

His eye is constantly upon the affairs of our lives, Pro. 15:3.


I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

I don't know about tomorrow.  — I just live for day to day. — I don't borrow from the sunshine    —   For it's skies may turn to gray.    __   I don't worry o'er the future    —   For I know what  Jesus said,    —    And today I'll walk beside Him     —   For He  knows what lies ahead.


CHORUS:

Many things about tomorrow — I don't seem to understand.  — But I know who holds tomorrow    —   And I know who holds my hand.


Ev'ry step is getting brighter — As the golden  stairs I climb.—   Ev'ry burden's getting lighter, — Ev'ry cloud is  silver lined. —There the sun is always shining    —   There no tear will dim the eye    —   At the ending of the rainbow    —   Where the  mountains touch the sky.

Because He Lives

 John 14:18-20 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 

[19] Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 


[20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.


Jesus promised the Disciples that when He went to the Father, He would ask the Father to send the “Comforter, the Holy Spirit. 


Believers have the same assurance today? 


Our world is in turmoil; there is uncertainty all around. Yet, through it all, the saints of God are possessed of a peace that defies all description. 


Our response in times of trouble is to lean on the peace of Jesus and trust Him to take care of His own - Phil. 4:6-7; Isa. 26:3.


I‘m glad that when I don’t understand what is going to happen; when it seems that everything is falling apart; when I don't know which way to turn, I can count on the Lord Jesus Christ!


We don’t know what 2021 will bring, but because Jesus lives, I can face tomorrow,


Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus.    —   He came to love, heal, and forgive.  — He lived and died to buy my pardon, — An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.


CHORUS:

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.    —   Because He lives, All fear is gone. — Because I know He holds the future, — And life is worth the living just because He lives.


How sweet to hold a newborn baby,    —   And feel the pride and joy he gives.    —   But greater still the calm assurance,  — This child can face uncertain days because He lives.


And then one day I'll cross the river,    —   I'll fight life's final war with pain. —And then as death gives way to victory,  —  I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Whispering Hope

 Hebrews 6:18-19 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 

[19] Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;


As Christians, we possess a hope, not merely some fond wish or desire, but a deep settled confidence based squarely upon the promises and the power of God.

Soft as the voice of an angel, — Breathing a lesson unheard, — Hope with a gentle persuasion    —    Whispers her comforting word:    —    Wait till the darkness is over,    —    Wait till the tempest is done,  —  Hope for the sunshine tomorrow,  —  After the shower is gone.

I’ll Have A New Life

 1 Corinthians 15:51 - 53  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 


[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 


When the born again bodies of the saints are resurrected from the grave, they will be changed into the image of Jesus.  We cannot go like we are!


I’ll Have A New Life

On the resurrection morning    —   When all the dead in Christ shall rise,    —   I'll have a new body    —   Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.    —   Sewed in weakness, raised in power    —   Ready to live in Paradise    —   I'll have a new body,    —   Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.

No Not One

 Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Regardless of where the path of life leads, the saint of God will never walk alone.


There’s not a friend like Jesus.

It is Well With My Soul

 Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

According to the Apostle Paul, salvation brings with it peace with God. 


You see, every lost person is the enemy of God, Rom. 8:7,8`


But, when that lost person turns to Jesus Christ by faith, God declares an end to the hostilities and declares peace to his or her soul. 


I’m ever so happy I can sing:


It is Well With My Soul

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,   —    When sorrows like sea billows roll;   —    Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,   —    It is well, it is well with my soul.
