Great is Thy Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-23  It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

[23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

God’s faithfulness is seen in the fact that we woke up this morning, in our right minds and in reasonable health.

We woke up with air to breath, food to eat, people we love around us, etc.

God is a faithful, wonderful Lord.

Great is Thy Faithfulness

___________________________

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;   —   There is no shadow of turning with thee;   —   Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;   —   As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

CHORUS:

Great is thy faithfulness! — Great is thy faithfulness! — Morning by morning new mercies I see;   —   All I have needed thy hand hath provided.   —   Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,   —   Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above   —   Join with all nature in manifold witness   —   To thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth   —   Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,   —   Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow   —   Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

All The Way My Savior Leads Me

Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

It was the time when I strayed from the Lord that in my misery I simply said, “Lord, how do I get back?”

Within a week He gloriously restored my soul. He was there all the time, waiting for me to turn to Him.

Every redeemed child of God enjoys an intimate, personal relationship with the Lord when we allow Him to lead us.

All The Way My Savior Leads Me

All the way my Savior leads me,    —    What have I to ask beside?    —    Can I doubt His tender mercy,    —    Who through life has been my Guide?    —    Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,    —    Here by faith in Him to dwell!    —    For I know, whate’er befall me,    —    Jesus doeth all things well;    —    For I know, whate’er befall me,    —    Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,    —  Cheers each winding path I tread,    —    Gives me grace for every trial,    —    Feeds me with the living Bread. — Though my weary steps may falter — And my soul athirst may be, — Gushing from the Rock before me, — Lo! A spring of joy I see; — Gushing from the Rock before me, — Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me,    —    Oh, the fullness of His love!    —    Perfect rest to me is promised    —    In my Father’s house above. — When my spirit, clothed immortal, — Wings its flight to realms of day — This my song through endless ages: — Jesus led me all the way;    —    This my song through endless ages:    —    Jesus led me all the way.

Sheltered in The Arms of God

Psalm 61:2-3 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

[3] For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

The good Lord invites us to come to Him Matt. 11:28, and has promised to hear us and help us when we do, Matt. 7:7-11; Phil. 4:6-7.

If I post the following song too often, it’s because it has gotten me through many hard places.

Sheltered in The Arms of God

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender.   —   They're leading me in the paths that I must trod.   —   I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me,   —   For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

CHORUS:

So let the storm clouds rage high,   —   The dark clouds rise,   —   They don't bother me;   —   For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.   —   He walks with me, and naught of earth shall harm me, — For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven's portals,   —   “Come home my child, It's the last mile you must trod.”   —   I'll fall asleep and wake in God's sweet heaven,   —   For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Meeting in The Air

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Lord sent an angel to announce His birth.

He sent an angel to announce His resurrection.

The Lord sent the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin and draw us to Jesus.

But, when it comes time to collect His Bride, the Lord is coming “Himself”.

We are going to a wedding in the air, Rev. 19:1-9. Sounds exciting to me!

Meeting in The Air

You have heard of little Moses in the bulrush.    —   You have heard of fearless David and his sling.    —   You have heard the story told of dreaming Joseph    —   And of Jonah and the whale you often sing.    —   There are many, many others in the Bible.    —   I should like to meet them all I do declare.    —   By and by the Lord will surely let us meet them at that meeting in the air.

CHORUS

There’s going to be a meeting in the air in the sweet, sweet by and by.    —   I ‘m going to meet you, meet you over there in that home beyond the sky.    —   Such singing you will hear never heard by mortal ear, — Twill be glorious I do declare. — And God's own Son will be the leading one at that meeting in the air.

Many things will there be missing at that meeting.    —   For the mourners bench will have no place at all.    —   There will never be a sermon preached to sinners,    —    for the sinner had refused to heed the call.    —   There will be no mourning over wayward loved ones.    —   There will be no lonely nights of pleading prayer.    —   All our burdens and our anguish will be lifted at that meeting in the air.

Dwelling in Beulah Land

The Hebrew word “Beulah” means married.

The relationship between God and the nation of Israel was often compared to a marriage. Israel was frequently referred to as a bride of God in the Old Testament.

This following passage was rejoicing that the people of God were returning to Israel after years spent in exile in Babylon.

Isaiah 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

The prophet Isaiah is telling the world how the people returned to their religious roots, their homeland and their God.

Beulah land is a state of holy bliss. When one is there, Heaven is clearly visible.

Dwelling in Beulah Land

__________________________

Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling;   —   Then I know the sins of earth beset on every hand;   —   Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling;   —   None of these shall move me from Beulah Land.

Chorus:

I’m living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,   —   I’m drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;   —   Oh, yes! I’m feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,   —   For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.

Far below the storm of doubt upon the world is beating, — Sons of men in battle long the enemy withstand;   —   Safe am I within the castle of God’s Word retreating;   —   Nothing then can reach me—’tis Beulah Land.

Let the stormy breezes blow, their cry cannot alarm me; — I am safely sheltered here, protected by God’s hand;   —   Here the sun is always shining, here there’s naught can harm me; — I am safe forever in Beulah Land.

Viewing here the works of God, I sink in contemplation; — Hearing now His blessed voice, I see the way He planned; — Dwelling in the Spirit, here I learn of full salvation; — Gladly I will tarry in Beulah Land.

When We See Christ

Revelation 21:3-4  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I can only imagine seeing Christ in all His glory and feeling His nail-scared hands.

I like to think that we will be so enamored with His presence that past trials will fade into the history of planet earth.

When We See Christ

__________________________

Oft times the day seems long, — Our trials hard to bear. — We´re tempted to complain,  — to murmur and despair.   —   But Christ will soon appear  —   to catch his bride away!  —   All tears forever over in God’s eternal day!

CHORUS:

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!     —   Life’s trials will seem so small     —   when we see Christ.     —   One glimpse of his dear face,     —   all sorrow will erase.     —   So, bravely run the race till we see Christ.

At times the sky seems dark,  —   with not a ray of light;     —   We’re tossed and driven on,     —   no human help in sight.     —   But there is One in heaven,     —   Who knows our deepest care;     —   Let Jesus solve your problems,     —   just go to him in prayer.

Life’s day will soon be o’re,     —   all storms forever past;     —   We’ll cross the great divide     —   to Glory, safe at last!     —  We’ll share the joys of heaven:     —   a harp, a home, a crown;     —   The tempter will be banished,     —   We’ll lay our burdens down.
