When He Reached Down His Hand For Me

1 Timothy 1:15  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.


The best thing I ever did in my life was to believe in Jesus. 


Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul.  Where would I be without you?

Consider The Lilies

Matthew 6:28-29 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 

[29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.


Don’t even think about what you wear. The Lord knows your needs. 


Notice the beautiful lilies, dressed with beauty far exceeding that of the glory of King Solomon.

Consider the lilies, —  They don’t toil or spin, —  And there’s not a king with more splendor than them.   —    Consider the sparrow,   —    They don’t plant or sow,  —    But they’re fed by the master   —    Who watches them grow.

It Is Well With My Soul

 Psalm 55:18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

No matter what happens, I’m thankful for the peace of knowing it is well with my soul.

There’s Something AboutThat Name

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

That’s why the name of Jesus is above every name.  He loved us in spite of ourselves and redeemed us from a life of sin.


Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;


We serve Him because we love Him for all He has done in our tangled up lives.

Wonderful Grace of Jesus

 1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

When grace came, it brought with it “faith and love.”  


When the Lord saved Paul, he was able to believe that which he had formerly denied. 


It allowed him to love a Lord and a people he had formerly hated.


That’s what God’s grace in salvation will do for you.  It will cause you to love things you have always hated.  


Salvation will change your life completely, totally and eternally, 2 Cor. 5:17.)

He Rose Triumphantly

1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Their bodies are asleep in the graves, but their spirits live on with Jesus. 


If He is going to bring them with Him, they must be with Him ahead of time.      2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:20-24; 2 Pet. 1:14. 


Don’t worry about those who have gone on before! They are with the Lord but they will be back. They are coming with Jesus when He comes for His Redeemed!

When I Survey The Wondrous Cross

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

When a person places his/her faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, that person is forever changed. 


The chains of sin are broken, Rom. 6:14, and they are made into a new creature, 2 Cor. 5:17. 


No blood washed, blood bought individual will ever experience the flames and fires of Hell. John 5:24. 


When the blood is applied, the child of God instantly becomes destined for an eternity in Heaven with the Lord.  John 14:1-3.

When I survey the wondrous cross    —    On which the Prince of glory died,    —    My richest gain I count but loss,    —    And pour contempt on all my pride.


Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,    —    Save in the death of Christ my God!    —    All the vain things that charm me most,    —    I sacrifice them to His blood.
