The average Christian says, "We can't." That attitude cost Israel forty years in the wilderness. What could it cost you? We must move from “We can’t” to - - - - -
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
When we are in God’s will, by faith we can move under the power of the Holy Spirit. Nothing should ever stop us --- no critic, no trial or no obstacle.
So, our greatest need is for a close, Spirit-filled walk with God. We need Him and what He can give us more than anything this world might offer. The Holy Spirit teaches us and enables us for victory through the Word of God and prayer.
There is great spiritual poverty to those who are in a spiritual slumber. Seek the Lord.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
NORMA DAVIS ---- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus . . . Romans 8:1

Grace And Glory
Psalm 84:11-12 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
If I had just one day to live, I'd want to live it surrendered to the Lord's will for my life. There is no higher calling than that of simply being what the Lord wants you to be.
We are promised God's grace while we travel and His glory when we arrive at home. There’s help for today and hope for tomorrow. God is simply promising to get us home safely.
One reason we have the troubles we have and worry as we do is that we have forgotten to whom we belong.
Believers are the Lord's people and His responsibility. He will bless our lives -- it is simply a matter of learning to trust Him and rest in Him.

Purchased With Blood
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
The things of this world don’t belong in the lives of those who belong to God nor do they have a place in their worship of the Lord. We belong to God, Who purchased us by His blood on the Cross of Calvary.
We need to create an atmosphere, especially in our churches, in which the Spirit of God can work, move and bless. As we do, He will see to it that lost souls are saved. He will see to it that we grow in grace.
Serve the Lord with gladness and serve Him well.

Thank God For Grace
When Peter denied the Lord the night Jesus was arrested, the Bible tells us that he went out and wept bitterly. He knew that he had violated something precious and sacred.
So it is with every child of God who decides to walk away from The Lord’s will. It may begin when you miss a few church services or stop praying like you should. Maybe the Bible isn’t read as often as it ought to be.
Eventually you will feel miserable out of fellowship because the peace of God and the sense of His presence is missing. I’ve been there.
Proverbs 13:15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
Thank God for grace. He will receive you with tender mercies when you come back, confessing your sin and renewing your commitment to Him.

True Discipleship
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? . . . . . Matthew 16:15-16 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus needed to hear what His disciples thought and believed about Him, to identity their allegiance to Him. Peter and the other disciples would soon be challenged not merely to live what they believed, but to die for what they believed.
There comes a time in our lives when we must make our own commitment to Jesus, not just to believe in Him, but to follow and serve Him.
True discipleship is denying self, taking up a cross, crucifying our flesh, and following Jesus. The Christian life is making Jesus our passion and determination to let Him live His life in and through us.

I'd Rather Have Jesus
Psalm 37:4,5 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
The believer’s true source of happiness rises above circumstances and situations of life when we delight ourselves In the Lord.
Instead of worrying and fretting, we should learn to cast our burdens on Jesus and trust Him to take care of them in His way and His time. Faith in God pays the greatest dividends. That’s why I delight in the Lord. Some people love this wicked world and all it offers, but I'd rather have Jesus.

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold; I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands, I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hand.
Than to be a king of a vast domain or be held in sin’s dread sway,
I’d rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.
