Wonderful Peace

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Psalm 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Prayer is the secret of power. We enter with worry, we can come out in peace.

Joy in the Lord is also the source of power.

Wonderful Peace

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight    —   Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;    —   In celestial-like strains it unceasingly falls    —   O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

CHORUS:

Peace, peace, wonderful peace, — Coming down from the Father above!  — Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray  — In fathomless billows of love!

What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,    —   Buried deep in the heart of my soul,    —   So secure that no power can mine it away,    —   While the years of eternity roll!

I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,    —   Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control;    —   For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day,    —   And His glory is flooding my soul!

And I think when I rise to that city of peace,    —   Where the Author of peace I shall see,    —   That one of the anthems the ransomed will sing    —   In that heavenly kingdom will be:

O soul, are you here without comfort and rest,    —   Marching down the rough pathway of time?    —   Make Jesus your friend ere the shadows grow dark;    —   O, accept this sweet peace so sublime!

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Bring your burden of sins to Jesus, and He will save you.

Then come to Him later, and He will meet you and help you with your problems.

Cast your care upon Him.

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,    —   Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true.    —   I would tell you how He changed my life completely;    —   He did something no other friend could do.

CHORUS:

No one ever cared for me like Jesus;    —   There's no other friend so kind as He.    —   No one else could take the sin and darkness from me;    —   O how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me;    —   All my heart was full of misery and woe,    —   Jesus placed His strong arms about me    —   And He led me in the way I ought to go.

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance;    —   More and more I understand His word of love.    —   But I'll never know just why He came to save me,    —   Till someday I see His blessed face above.

Unworthy

Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus died for you and me, revealing His love while we were yet sinners.

He saves us by grace and faith because the guilt of sin has been removed.

We are so unworthy.

Unworthy am I of the grace that He gave,    —    Unworthy to hold to His hand;    —    Amazed that a King would reach down to a slave,    —    This love I cannot understand.

CHORUS:

Unworthy, unworthy, a beggar; — In bondage and alone; — But He made me worthy and now by His grace, —  His mercy has made me His own.

My sorrow and sickness laid stripes on His back,    —    My sins caused the blood that was shed;    —    My faults and my failures have woven a crown  —  Of thorns, that He wore on His head.

Unworthy am I of the glory to come,  —  Unworthy with angels to sing; —I thrill just to know that He loved me so much, — A pauper, I walk with the King .

Just a Little Talk With Jesus

Psalm 9:10   And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me.

When things go wrong in my life, i just have a little talk with Him.

He makes it right.  Seek Him.

Just a Little Talk With Jesus

_______________________________________

I once was lost in sin, but Jesus took me in — And let a little light from heaven fills my soul. — He bathed my heart in love, and He wrote my name above, — And just a little talk with Jesus makes me whole.

CHORUS:

(Now let us) have a little talk with Jesus, — (Let us) tell Him all about our troubles. — (He will) hear our fainted cry, — (And He will) answer by and by.    —    (When you) feel a little prayer wheel turning, — (And you) will know a little fire is burnin', — (You will) find a little talk with Jesus makes it right.

I may have doubts and fears, my eye be filled with tears, — But Jesus is a friend who watches day and night. — I go to him in prayer, He knows my every care, — And just a little talk with my Jesus makes it right.

The Longer I Serve Him

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

To know that one is saved and that regardless of what happens in life, nothing will ever be able to change that fact. Now that is a blessing without compare!

The Longer I Serve Him, the Sweeter He Grows

_______________________________________

Since I started for the Kingdom, — Since my life He controls, — Since I gave my heart to Jesus, — The longer I serve Him,  —  The sweeter He grows.

CHORUS:

The longer serve Him, the sweeter He grows,    —    The more that I love Him, more love He bestows;    —    Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows,  —  The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Ev'ry need He is supplying, — Plenteous grace He bestows; —  Ev'ry day my way gets brighter, — The longer I serve Him, — The sweeter He grows.

To God Be The Glory

Galatians 1:3-5 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

[4] Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

[5] To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

It sometimes takes cancer or other problems to bring us to the point of praising Jesus for His shed blood for our sins.

We live in an evil world and need Him every day. Praise Him for each new day.

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory, great things he hath done:  —  so loved he the world that he gave us his son, —  who yielded his life an atonement for sin, — and opened the lifegate that all may go in.

CHORUS:

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice! —  Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice! — O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, — and give him the glory, great things he hath done.

Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,   —    to ev’ry believer the promise of God.   —    The vilest offender who truly believes,   —    that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things he hath taught us, great things he hath done, — and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son,   —    but purer, and higher, and greater will be  —  our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

I Need Thee Every Hour

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The way to God has been opened, and we can come to Him anytime for the mercy, grace and help we need, Matt. 11:28; 1 Pet. 5:7.

I Need Thee Every Hour

___________________________

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;    —    No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

CHORUS:

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee; — Every hour I need Thee; — Oh, bless me now, my Savior, —  I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;    —    Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;    —    Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;    —    And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;    —    Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.
