Great Riches To Tap Into

As believers, we think we need a lot of things we don’t have. Actually, we possess great riches to tap into when we abide in Christ.

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

WE PRAY FOR:

Love --  His love is “shed abroad in our hearts,” Rom. 5:5.

Peace  --   Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: John 14:27.

Joy  --  We have “joy unspeakable and full of glory,” 1 Pet. 1:8.

Strength  --  We can “do all things through Christ which strengtheneth” us, Phil. 4:13.

Needs  --   He will “supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” Phil. 4:19.

His Presence  --   “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee,” Heb. 13:5.

Learn To Submit To God's Will

If we want to enjoy the peace and blessings of God; if we would have the best God has to offer to us, then we must learn to submit to his will, at all times, in all things, and in all ways.

God wants us to simply walk with Him every day. It’s a way of life in which we yield to Him and honor Him. We study His Word. We pray. We praise him --  every day.

It’s a walk of life in which we’re not up and down, in and out or hot and cold. We’re just faithful as we walk with Him moment by moment. Decide to submit.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Glory To His Name

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Jesus is the One Who stepped out of nowhere onto nothing and spoke it all into being. What is so amazing about creation is that He made it all out of nothing. The One who said “Let there be…” is The Savior of all who believe in Him. He is sovereign over the entire universe which He has created!

Thus, Jesus and Jesus alone is to be exalted and worshiped. Jesus and Jesus alone is to receive all the glory and center of attention in our churches. Every song, every sermon, every prayer, every lesson, and every testimony must serve to exalt Him.

Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

The greatest thought to grip the human mind is this: “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”. The second greatest thought is this: There is nothing you can do to make Him stop loving you (Rom. 8:38-39!).

God wasn’t content to see man lost in sin, so He declared him worthy of His love! --  worthy of His Son. What grace! What love!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The saved man/woman has believed on Jesus Christ, His finished work at the cross and His resurrection from the dead as his only hope of salvation and eternal life.

The lost man/woman has not believed on Him. He may trust many things, like works, religion, church membership, etc, but he is not trusting the one and only Person Who can save the soul and give eternal life, Jesus Christ.

Enlightened By The Deep Things Of God

Believers need to ask the Lord to help us keep a humble spirit and an open mind so that He can teach us His truth. Far too often we base what we believe on what we've been taught, or on tradition, and not on the clear Word of God.

Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

[18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

When our hearts and minds are controlled by the Word of God under the direction of the Spirit of God, He enables us to understand the deep things of God and how they relate to everyday life. When that happens, the Bible and the truths it contains become intensely practical in our daily lives. It is so important that we study “all” the Bible.

I Faint Not

The Apostle Paul had discovered a spiritual secret that enabled him to be encouraged even in the midst of circumstances that would have discouraged anyone. His life was anything but easy.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

What we need, what I need, is to come to the place Paul came to.

2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

I want to come to the place where “I faint not” regardless of what is going on around me, or in me.

Sufficient Grace

Many things in life will fail us. Friendships will blossom and then die. Health is never a sure thing. Those we love will pass from the scene leaving a void in our hearts, hard to be filled.

However, there is one thing that every child of God possesses that can never fail, never end, never run out, never run dry and that will never be found to be insufficient, and that is the grace of God!

Yes, the road may be long and dreary, the days may be filled with difficulties and struggles, but rest assured that there will be grace sufficient for every need and every trial. That is the promise of God and that is the hope of the saints!

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
