Wait On The Lord

Can we be patient and silent during difficult days while the Lord works out His purpose in our lives?
Jesus gave us an example. When He was abused, mocked and crucified, He endured His afflictions in silence.

Isa. 53:7, "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Regardless of your burden learn not to whine. Bear it for the glory of God, then wait patiently for Him to work out His will in your life.

This isn't easy, but it’s an attitude that God can bless and use for His glory.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Teach me, Lord, to wait.

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory.  He will forever be God.  He will forever reign.  He will forever be worthy of our praise.

His promises will forever stand.  His people will be preserved forever.

And, as the endless expanse of eternity unfolds before our eyes, we will forever lift our voices in praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

We will forever declare that He is worthy.

Psalm 146:10 The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord .

Seek God With Your Whole Heart

Those who follow the Lord and received His blessing sought Him with their whole heart. They were completely sold out to Him.

We need people like that today.

Psalm 119: 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

A lot of people want to be affiliated with the Lord, to receive His guidance and protection in their lives.

We must be willing to seek God with all our being, not only when it’s convenient.  He must be the ultimate desire of our hearts.

At The End Of Your Rope

Have you ever felt like you were at the end of your rope?

The realist would say, “Tie a knot and hang on.”

The pessimist would say, “You might as well let go; it’s only going to get worse.”

The optimist might say, “Tie another knot and keep on climbing.”

God offers a better plan.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

At the end of the rope you can be assured that the Lord sees everything you are facing and He cares.

What may appear insurmountable problems in your eyes are God’s opportunities in disguise.

He wants you to learn to seek help from Him. He is able to fix your situation in amazing ways. Trust Him.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Regardless of what happens in your life, if you are a born again child of God you can have confidence that He is faithful and will stand by you even when your faith is weak, John 10:28-29.

He will hear you when you call on Him, Jer. 33:3.

He will meet your needs, Phil. 4:19.

He will give you grace sufficient for every trial, 2 Cor. 12:9.

He will give you His peace in the midst of every circumstance,
Phil. 4:6-7.

He will walk with you every step of the way to glory, Matt. 28:20.

Rest in His faithfulness so that we are delivered from the cares of this life.

Rejoice in His faithfulness so that He is glorified in our praise of Him.

Psalm 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

The Problem With Doubt

The problem with doubt is that it has the power to kill the flame of faith in our hearts.

Doubt told Jairus it was too late for his daughter, Mark 5:35.

Doubt told the Lord that there were too many people and not enough food, John 6:9.

Doubt told the prophet Elijah that there was nothing in the house but a
small pot of oil.

Doubt was wrong every time. It’s always wrong.

When doubts come your way, remind them of who your God is.

He is a God of matchless, limitless power, Matt. 28:18. He is the God who can do anything He pleases anytime He pleases.

Are you living in fear and doubt over situations in your life? If so, know that the Lord is enough for your situation.

Bring it to Him. Leave it with Him and look to Him for the peace and help you need. He’s all you need.

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The Steps Of A Good Man

Throughout their wilderness wanderings, God was faithful to lead and guide the Israelites. They didn’t know which way to go, but God lead them in His way day and night.

Nehemiah 9:12 Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

I rejoice that it isn’t up to me to make my own way or discover the right path.

Believers are not alone or forsaken. God is always there to mark our steps and guide our paths.

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
