Waters, Rivers, And Fire

God reminds the Israelites that He has met their need since day one and will continue to do so.

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

They passed through the waters – The Red Sea – Ex. 14.

They passed through the river – The crossing of the Jordan – Deut. 4

They walked through the fire – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego – Daniel 3.

What does this mean for us? Just that God has not changed. What He did for Israel, He will do for you and me.

There is not an area of life in which God won’t  fulfill His promises as we face the storms, walk through the valleys, and endure the dark nights of life.

He will never fail us. He will meet every need we have for His glory – Phil. 4:19.

God’s Timing Is Perfect

I’ve been blogging almost every day for several years now, endeavoring to encourage others and to praise Jesus who is our source in time of need.

That’s easy for me to do because Jesus has carried me through some rocky places.

Riding in the car this morning, glad my husband is driving in the fierce downpour of rain, I suddenly became concerned about facing the inevitable — not the chemo but the nausea.

The last two episodes of cancer assaulting my body, I asked the Lord to keep me from nausea. Each time, after the first treatment, I did not get nauseated.

A gospel song began playing from my thumb drive, replacing my concern with peace. I love it when God gives me a song. His timing is perfect.

“I don't know about tomorrow — I just live from day to day. — I don't borrow from it's sunshine — For it's skies may turn to gray. — I don't worry o'er the future — For I know what Jesus said. — And today I'll walk beside Him — For He knows what is ahead.

“Many things about tomorrow — I don't seem to understand — But I know who holds tomorrow — And I know who holds my hand.” — Ira Stanphill

Cancer sucks, but God is ever so near.

Peace And Fear

If your heart is troubled, stealing your joy and causing you pain; there is help.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Jesus can restore your joy and peace if His promises are believed and received. It’s all about faith in Jesus.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Bring your trouble to Jesus, and he will give you peace in place of fear.

God Cares

Jesus loved us before time began. He knew us, yet He loved us, and because God loves sinners so much, He gave His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Paul's is not questioning whether or not God is for us, but that God is on our side.

No one can stand against God, and no one can stand against us.

Regardless of where you are in life, God cares for you. Because He cares, you can walk in victory in every circumstance of life, 1 Cor. 15:57; 2 Cor. 4:17.

A Gloriois Place

Heaven is a glorious place. Everyone I meet wants to go there.

Psalm 87:3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O City of God. Selah.

It’s glorious because we will be with our Sovereign God forever and rest from our labors.

The redeem of God will be there, walking the streets of gold with us. John 14:3; Rev. 4:4;

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I WANT MORE

I WANT MORE

Poor Job lost about everything he valued, but the Lord gave him “more” at the end of his life than he had at the beginning.

Job 42:12-13  So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters.

I want the all the “more” God can give me — not “more” money, power, recognition, etc.— I want a more spirit-filled life.

David had “more” because he was honest about his sins, Psa. 51:17

Those who get “more” are those who humble themselves and yield to God.

This path isn’t easy; but it’s the only path that leads to “more” and I want more.

There’s plenty of “more” to go around.

More Than Conquerors

Romans 8:35,37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? . . . . [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

The love of God for His children is so vast, so deep and so far reaching that God wants us to know that nothing can separate us from such great love.

Victory is ours because the Lord promises that His love is the guarantee that we conquer all the things that come against us.

Would to God that we could learn to rejoice in who we are in Him.

According to the Bible, the children of God are a victorious people. We can’t always see it. We don’t always feel it. We don’t always live like it. It’s true nonetheless.
