Rise Again

Acts 2:23-24 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

[24] Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

The preaching of the cross may be foolishness to a pagan world, but it is the power of God to those who believe - 1 Cor. 1:18.

On the day of Pentecost Peter preached that Jesus Christ went to an old rugged cross and died between Heaven and earth to pay the sin debt of the entire world.

According to the Bible, He arose from the tomb the third day and He still lives to save the lost.

When you place your faith in His death, burial and resurrection, then and only then can you be confident that you will miss Hell and go to Heaven and live forever.

Rise Again

_____________

Go ahead, drive the nails in My hands,   —    Laugh at Me, where you stand.   —    Go ahead, and say it isn't Me.   —    The day will come, when you will see.

CHORUS:

'Cause I'll rise, again.   —    Ain't no power on earth can tie Me down.   —    Yes, I'll rise, again.   —    Death can't keep Me in the ground.

Go ahead, and mock My name.   —    My love for you is still the same.   —    Go ahead, and bury Me,   —    But very soon, I will be free. - - -

Go ahead, and say I'm dead and gone,   —    But you will see that you were wrong. —  Go ahead, try to hide the Son, —  But all will see that I'm the One.  - - -

Christ The Lord Is Risen Today

Matthew 28:5-6 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

[6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

The exciting news that Jesus is alive is news we need to hear and share again and again.

The hope of His resurrection should fill our hearts with joy.

Our Jesus is alive! Hallelujah!

Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Alleluia!    —   Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!    —   Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!    —   Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!  — Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia! — Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!  — Where thy vic-to-ry, O grave? Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!    —   Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!    —   Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!    —   Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!    —   Fol-l’wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!  — Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!  — Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Gone

John 20:1  The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

Those who looked inside the tomb saw only the clothes the body wore, but there was no body.

No other suit of grave clothes in history has preached such a glorious, timeless message as did the grave clothes of Jesus.

I’m thankful that He lives and that He left perfect, indisputable evidence in His tomb.

Gone

___________

Mary came unto the tomb of Jesus. —  The stone was moved, and He had gone away. —  The angel said, "Fear not, I know Whom seek ye, —  But He is risen.” This she heard Him say.

CHORUS:

Gone, the stone is rolled back. — Gone, the tomb is empty. —  Gone, to sit at his Father's side.  — He's Gone, over death triumphant. —  Gone, sin is defeated.  —  Gone, He lives forevermore.

Oh come with me and see the risen Savior.  —  Who still can turn the dark of death to day;  —  Who calms the storms of doubt  —  And parts the ocean;  —  Who still can roll your heavy stones away. - - -

My friend if you don’t know the risen Savior,  —    I beg of you don’t wait too long to pray.  —    Don’t wait until His bride has been completed.  —    Don’t wait until you hear Him say, “Too late.” - - -

Because He Lives

Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Every redeemed sinner is a testimony to the life-changing, life-giving power of the risen Christ.

Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus;   —   He came to love, heal and forgive;   —   He lived and died to buy my pardon,   —   An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Chorus

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,   —   Because He lives, all fear is gone;   —   Because I know He holds the future,   —   And life is worth the living,   —   Just because He lives!

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,   —   And feel the pride and joy he gives;   —   But greater still the calm assurance:   —   This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!

And then one day, I'll cross the river,   —   I'll fight life's final war with pain;   —   And then, as death gives way to victory,   —   `I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!

He Arose

Matthew 28:5-6  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

[6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

This is the divine announcement of the Resurrection.

Jesus had left the tomb before the stone had been rolled away.

Later He would enter a room with a locked door.

He Arose

Low in the grave He lay,   —    Jesus, my Savior,   —    Waiting the coming day,   —    Jesus, my Lord!

CHORU

Up from the grave He arose,   —    With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,   —    He arose a Victor from the dark domain,   —    And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.   —    He arose! He arose!   —    Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed,   —    Jesus, my Savior;   —    Vainly they seal the dead,   —    Jesus, my Lord!

Death cannot keep his Prey,   —    Jesus, my Savior;   —    He tore the bars away,   —    Jesus, my Lord!

Midnight Cry

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

My; My: how will the Media handle open graves and the disappearance of thousands?

This is comforting. I’m ready!

I hear the sound of a mighty rushing wind.  —  And it's closer now than it's ever been.  —   I can almost hear the trumpet    —    As Gabriel sounds the call,    —    At the midnight cry    —    We'll be goin' home.

CHORUS

When Jesus steps out  —  On a cloud to call His children  —  The dead in Christ shall rise  —  To meet Him in the air.    —    And then those that remain    —    Shall be quickly changed    —    At the midnight cry    —    Jesus comes again

I look around me,    —    I see prophecies fulfilled    —    The signs of the times    —    They're appearing everywhere.    —    I can almost hear the Father    —    Tell the Son "Go get my children"    —    At the midnight cry the bride of Christ shall rise.- - -

Close To Thee

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Do you want to be close to God? I do. It’s the best place to be in this life.

Humbly pray to Jesus and confess any sins.

As you set your heart and mind upon Him, He will draw nigh to you.

He promised.

Close To Thee

Thou my everlasting portion, — More than friend or life to me, — All along my pilgrim journey, — Savior, let me walk with Thee.

CHORUS:

Close to Thee, close to Thee, —  Close to Thee, close to Thee; —  All along my pilgrim journey,   —    Savior, let me walk with Thee.

Not for ease or worldly pleasure, — Nor for fame my prayer shall be;  —   Gladly will I toil and suffer,   —    Only let me walk with Thee. - - -

Lead me through the vale of shadows, — Bear me o’er life’s fitful sea; —    Then the gate of life eternal   —    May I enter, Lord, with Thee. - - -
