I can only imagine the horror of the disciples as angry waves tossed their ship like a toothpick. Awaking Jesus from a deep sleep, they cried, “Master don’t you care that we perish?”

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39

We don’t sing Master the Tempest is Raging anymore. I love that song.

The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still.
Whether the wrath of the storm tossed sea,
Or demons or men or whatever it be
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean and earth and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will;
Peace, peace, be still.

If you’re a born again Christian, Jesus is in your boat. Do you need peace from the storm? Ask the Master of oceans and earth and skies.

I finally did it. Submitting my novel to a Christian agent concluded three years of writing, editing, and revising numerous times. It was time to let go. A SCORCHED FAMILY – Christian Fiction – Family Saga will either be accepted or rejected.

The Writer’s Magazine spells it out. Expect many rejections but keep sending query letters. All authors go through this. It will take months and, if accepted it will take nearly a year for publication. That’s Okay. I’m not doing anything.

Realizing I needed more training after my first novel, I studied fifteen books about plot, setting, character, dialogue, grammar, hooks, and voice .I'm still studying.

Today, celebrating our forty-seventh wedding anniversary, I can truly say that we really, really, really know each other. I think. For example, we know, without saying, that whoever is up first usually makes coffee. We know, without saying, that some time after drinking coffee, reading the Bible, checking emails, Facebook, news, and twitter, I'm going to say, "What do you want to eat?"

I know, without asking, that Gale doesn't want to speak to soliciters on the phone. I think I'm losing my hearing or maybe he is mumbling or just thinks he said something I didn't hear. Then again, he doesn't hear or doesn't remember things I know I said.

After all these years, it really doesn't matter because we know, without saying, that we still love each other.

We love to sing about heaven, our hope and anticipation. One of my favorite songs is When We See Christ, though Beulah Land is just as sweet..

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus
Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Him
One glimps of his sweet face, all sorrow will erase
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he that sitteth on the thrown shall dwell amoung them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them nor any heat.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the thrown shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of water; and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 7:15-17
The God of love is also the God of wrath and judgment as portrayed in the book of Revelation.Though I believe “The Day of the Lord” happens after the rapture and during the seven years of great tribulation, strange universal happenings are stunning the experts these days.. The seals in Chapter Six reveal the following prophetic judgments:
First Seal: War
Second Seal: Peace taken from the earth, people killing one another
Third Seal: Inflation (a quart of wheat for a day’s wage – commentary)
Fourth Seal: One fourth of the earth is killed with the sword, hunger, and beasts.
Fifth Seal: Christians saved during the tribulation are slain for their testimony
Sixth Seal: A great earthquake, the sun becomes black, the moon becomes blood, and the stars fall to the earth, every mountain and island moved out of their places. Kings, great men, rich men, chief captains, mighty men, bondmen, and free men hide themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains, begging them to fall on them.
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand. Revelation 6:17

I’m watching the sky, anticipating the rapture. I hope you and your loved ones are ready to meet God while there is still time.
