Under His Wings

Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

What love and comfort and safety, knowing we are covered with God’s feathers.

There we can trust Him, resting under His wings.

There is where we study His word for strength,

There, by grace and faith, God uses us for His Glory.

Under His Wings

Under His wings I am safely abiding.    —    Tho' the night deepens and tempests are wild,    —    Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me.    —    He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

CHORUS:

Under His wings, under His wings,    —    Who from His love can sever?    —    Under His wings my soul shall abide,    —    Safely abide forever.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow!    —    How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!    —    Often when earth has no balm for my healing, —  There I find comfort, and there I am blest. - - -

Under His wings, oh, what precious enjoyment!    —    There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er;    —    Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me.    —    Resting in Jesus, I’m safe evermore. - - -

I Need Thee Every Hour

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Believers have a great High Priest. He is Superior in every way. He is Sympathetic in every need. He is our Sanctuary in every trial.

We can come to the Lord anytime for the mercy, grace and help we need, Matt. 11:28; 1 Pet. 5:7.

May the Lord help us to run to Him when trials and temptations come our way, Psa. 63:7; Psa. 55:22; Phil. 4:6-7.

I Need Thee Every Hour

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;  — No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

CHORUS:

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee; — Every hour I need Thee; — Oh, bless me now, my Savior,  —   I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;   —   Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh. - - -

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;  —   Come quickly and abide, or life is vain. - - -

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;  —   And Thy rich promises in me fulfill. - - -

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;  —   Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son. - - -

Til The Storm Passes By

Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

When I think of stormy times, I can’t help but think of the strength the good Lord gave me when I needed it most.

I’m thankful that during distress I can know He will get me through it. He always has and always will.

‘Til The Storm Passes By

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face — While the storm howls above me and there's no hiding place. — 'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry; — Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

CHORUS:

Till the storm passes over, — Till the thunder sounds no more,       —   Till the clouds roll forever from the sky.    —   Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand.    —   Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, — "There is no need to try, — For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by.” —  But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise    —   Where the storms never darken the skies.

When the long night has ended,  —   And the storms come no more.  — Let me stand in Thy presence on that bright peaceful shore.    —   In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I    —   Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Surely Goodness and Mercy

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

There is nothing in life we can face that will be greater than the good Lord’s ability to see us through.

He plans and knows the way we take, Psa. 37:23; Job 23:10

He also goes with us to ensure a safe passage through this violent and harsh land.

Surely Goodness and Mercy

A pilgrim was I and a-wand'ring     —   In the cold night of sin I did roam  — When Jesus the kind Shepherd found me,  — And now I am on my way home.

CHORUS:

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me    —   All the days all the days of my life.    —   Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me    —   All the days all the days of my life. - - -  And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord, forever.    —   And I shall feast at His table prepared for me.  —   Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me   —  all the days, all the days of my life.

He restoreth my soul when I'm weary.    —   He giveth me strength day by day. — He leads me beside the still waters. — He guards me each step of the way. - - -

When I walk thro' the dark lonesome valley, — My Savior will walk with me there, — And safely His great hand will lead me — To the mansions He's gone to prepare. - - -

Reach Out To Jesus

Psalm 18:6,18,19  In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. . . .

[18] They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.

[19] He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

If you have a problem today, you need to run to Jesus, tell Him about it, and get ready to be delivered.

Reach Out To Jesus

________________________________

Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone?    —    Does the road you travel, harbor dangers yet unknown?    —    Are you growin' weary in the struggle of it all?    —    Jesus will help you when on his name you call.

CHORUS:

He's always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true, —Walking by our side, in his love we hide all the day through. — When you get discouraged just remember what to do.    —    Reach out to Jesus, he's reaching out to you.

Is the life you're living filled with sorrow and despair?    —    Does the future press you with its worry and its care?    —    Are you tired and friendless, have you almost lost your way?    —    Jesus will help you, just call to him today.

He Touched Me

Mark 1:40-41 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

[41] And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

Can you hear the crowd gasp in surprise and shock as they see Jesus reach out to touch this unclean leper?

His touch said, “I love you just like you are and I am here to help you.”

You may not have leprosy, but if you need a Savior or if you need help, Jesus transforms lives. Reach out for His touch.

He Touched Me

Shackled by a heavy burden,    —    'Neath a load of guilt and shame.  —  Then the hand of Jesus touched me,  —  And now I am no longer the same.

CHORUS:

He touched me, Oh He touched me,    —    And oh the joy that floods my soul! — Something happened and now I know, — He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Savior,    —    Since He cleansed and made me whole,  —  I will never cease to praise Him, — I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

Until Then

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

We, who are saved, groan to be free from these bodies, to be remade into the image of the Lord Jesus.

I’m so glad that day is coming.

James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Until Then

My heart can sing when I pause to remember   —    A heartache here is but a stepping stone   —    Along a trail that's winding always upward,   —    This troubled world is not my final home.

CHORUS:

But until then my heart will go on singing,   —    Until then with joy I'll carry on, — Until the day my eyes behold the city, —  Until the day God calls me home.

The things of earth will dim and lose their value,   —    If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;   —    And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,   —    Remembered there will only bring a smile. - - -

This weary world with all its toil and struggle   —    May take its toll of misery and strife;   —    The soul of man is like a waiting falcon;   —    When it's released, it's destined for the skies. - - -
