The Grace Of Gifts

There's a place in the work of God for all the redeemed.

Romans 12:5,6  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us.  . . . .

God's grace, active in the lives of believers, decides what we do and to what extent we do it, leaving no room for pride.

Whether teaching, exhorting, praying, singing, sweeping, mowing or welcoming: we must use our gift for the glory of God and leave othters to do their gift.

If you walk in humble submission to the Lord, He will reveal His gift by giving you opportunities to exercise them.

We must minister without thinking of self, reaching out to the best of our ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

A Good Steward

As Christians, we are to use our God given abilities to manage God given resources. The purpose is to accomplish God ordained results.

God has blessed us with many spiritual and material blessings. He has high expectations on how we use them.

1 Corinthians 4:1,2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.

My house my business, my money, my children, and my life belong to God, but I'm privileged to enjoy them for awhile.

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

  1. What I have, God owns
  2. What I need, God supplies
  3. What I give, God multiplies
  4. What I invest, God rewards
  5. What I commit, God blesses

Praise the Lord, Free At Last

Salvation not only sets us free from the slavery of sin, but also changes our attitude, appetite, ambition, and actions.

The same grace that redeems us also reforms our lives and makes us godly. It's amazing what God can do with believers who pray, study God's Word every day and submit their life to the Lord.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.

12. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.

I'm free from the fear of tomorrow
I'm free from the guilt of the past
For when I met Jesus He made me complete
He forgot the foolish one I used to be.

The Lamb Of God

When the Lamb of God was presented as the perfect offering for sin, it wasn't some antiseptic, sanitary event. His horrible crucifixion was brutal beyond belief.

Hebrews 15:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.

What love! No one has to die in their sins. Anybody who will believe in Jesus by faith can be saved from their sins, its power and penalty (death).

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Between the cross and the crown is a monumental event called the resurrection. Jesus arose from the dead to secure eternal life for all who believe in Him. Herein is hope for eternity.

The Hem Of His Garment

On the way to heal a dying young girl, Jesus is aware that among the surging crowd about Him, someone touched the hem of His garment. In spite of His mission, He stops. The child-like faith of a diseased woman catches his attention, and He heals her.

Isn't it a blessing to know that God, Who controls the path of every atom in every molecule in the universe, has time for us when we call on Him by faith.

Jesus came to earth so He could die on a cross for our sins, so He could be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, and so we could touch Him.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities: but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Uncommon Love

Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus, the Jewel of Heaven, laid aside his robes of glory for a time and came to this world to die for our sins.

In His dying and resurrection, He made a way for sinners like us to be clothed in His robes of righteousness. Why?

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Until Jesus brought us His uncommon love, saved us by His grace, and clothed us in His Own righteous robe, we were nothing but paupers. Those who believe on Him become a child of the King of Glory. Believe on Jesus.

In Due Season

I am the world's worst in wanting instant results, especially when I pray. Again and again I remind myself that if everything was instant I wouldn't need faith, and God wants me to trust Him, and He has his own time table -- in due season.

The Christian race is a marathon. We must think beyond today, in view of eternity as we serve God.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

"Due season" doesn't mean tomorrow. We don't plant a seed one day and reap it's fruit the next.

In the same way, we can't sow a good deed or render service to God and expect immediate results, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. We may never know the results of our deeds, but God does.
