‘Til the Storm Passes By

Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Do you know God? Are you poor and needy?  He will give you strength and help.  Seek Him.

Are the storms of life tossing you?  God is your refuge. Seek Him

‘Til the Storm Passes By

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,   —   While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place.   —   'Mid the crash of the thunder,   —   Precious Lord, hear my cry,   —   Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

CHORUS:

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more, —  Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;   —   Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,   —   Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,   —   For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by."   —   But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise   —   Where the storms never darken the skies.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,   —  Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;   —   In that land where the tempest, never comes, —  Lord, may I Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Because He Lives

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

The hope of the believer is wrapped up in the second coming of Jesus Christ. He is coming and His return brings us hope for all our tomorrows

Because He Lives

God sent his son, they called him Jesus.    —    He came to love, heal and forgive.    —    He lived and died to buy my pardon.    —    An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

CHORUS:

Because he lives — I can face tomorrow. — Because he lives  —  All fear is gone.  —   Because i know he holds the future,  —  And life is worth the living  —  Just because he lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,    —    And feel the pride and joy he gives.    —    But greater still the calm assurance:    —    This child can face uncertain day because he lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,    —    I'll fight life's final war with pain.    —    And then, as death gives way to vict'ry,  — I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know he reigns.

When We See Christ

 Titus 2:13-14 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

[14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

When I see Jesus, I want to thank Him for all He has done in my life.

He is coming.

When We See Christ

Oft times the day seems long,  —  Our trials hard to bear.  —  We´re tempted to complain, —  to murmur and despair.  —  But Christ will soon appear  —  to catch his bride away!  —  All tears forever over in God’s eternal day!

CHORUS:

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!    —    Life’s trials will seem so small    —    when we see Christ.    —    One glimpse of his dear face,    —    all sorrow will erase.    —    So, bravely run the race till we see Christ.

At times the sky seems dark,  —  with not a ray of light;  —  We’re tossed and driven on,  —  no human help in sight.    —    But there is One in heaven,  —  Who knows our deepest care;  —  Let Jesus solve your problems,  —  just go to him in prayer.

Life’s day will soon be o’re,  —  all storms forever past;  —  We’ll cross the great divide    —    To Glory, safe at last!    —    We’ll share the joys of heaven:  —  a harp, a home, a crown;  —  The tempter will be banished,  —  We’ll lay our burdens down.

Gives Them All To Jesus

Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Is the trials, troubles and valleys of life stealing your joy and ruining your life?

If so, the secret to being free from their power in your life is —

1. Learn to take your burdens to the Lord.

2. Commit to living your life according to His will and praise Him even if it kills you.

3. Rest in the confidence that the valleys will soon be behind us forever.

Give Them All To Jesus

Are you tried of chasing pretty rainbows?   —    Are you tired of spinning round and round?   —    Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life,   —    And at the feet of Jesus lay them down.

CHORUS:

Give them all, Give them all,   —    Give them all to Jesus,   —    Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys,   —    Give them all, Give them all,   —    Give them all to Jesus,   —    And he will turn your sorrow into joy.

He never said you would only see sunshine.  —  He never said there would be no rain.  —  He only promised us a heart full of singing.   —    `That's the very thing that once brought pain.

The Solid Rock

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

When you came to Christ, you came with no works — bringing nothing to receive everything!

You were put on that Rock which is Christ. Now you can build on that. This is where good works come in.

Are you building on Him? That is the important question for the believer.

The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less   —   Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; — I dare not trust the sweetest  frame, — But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

CHORUS:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;   —   All other ground is sinking sand,   —   All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face, — I rest on His unchanging grace; — In every high and stormy gale, — My anchor holds within the veil.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,— Oh, may I then in Him be found; — Dressed in His righteousness alone, — Faultless to stand before the throne.

He Leadeth Me

Psalm 23:1-3  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

[2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

[3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

No matter what happens, the Hand of God holds mine all the way home.

He Leadeth Me

He leadeth me, O blessed thought!   —   O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!  —  Whate’er I do, where’er I be  —  Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

CHORUS:

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,   —    By His own hand He leadeth me;  —  His faithful foll’wer I would be,  —  For by His hand He leadeth me.

Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom,    —    Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,    —    By waters still, o’er troubled sea,    —    Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,    —    Nor ever murmur nor repine;    —    Content, whatever lot I see,   —    Since ’tis my God that leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,  —  When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won,  —  E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,  —  Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

What A Day That Will Be

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

For the weary believer, lift up your head. There is hope.

Life is going to get better.

There is coming a day — When no heartaches shall come, — No more clouds in the sky, — No more tears to dim the eye. — All is peace forevermore — On that happy golden shore. — What a day, glorious day that will be.

CHORUS:

What a day that will be — When my Jesus I shall see, — When I look upon His face, — The One who saved me by His grace. — Then He’ll take me by the hand — And lead me through the Promise Land. — What a day, glorious day that will be.

They’ll be no sorrow there, — No more burdens to bear. — No more sickness, no more pain, — No more parting over there. —  And forever I will be — With the One who died for me. — What a day, glorious day that will be.
