When They Ring The Golden Bells

Isaiah 25:8  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

There’s a better day coming for all of God’s children.

Weeping and sorrow will not last forever.

Trials and heartaches will come to an end.

Home at last!

When They Ring The Golden

Bells

There’s a land beyond the river, — That we call the sweet forever, — And we only reach that shore by faith’s decree;    —   One by one we’ll gain the portals,    —   There to dwell with the immortals,    —   When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

CHORUS:

Don’t you hear the bells now ringing?    —   Don’t you hear the angels singing?    —   ’Tis the glory hallelujah Jubilee.    —   In that far-off sweet forever,    —   Just beyond the shining river,    —   When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

We shall know no sin or sorrow, — In that haven of tomorrow,  — When our barque shall sail beyond the silver sea;    —   We shall only know the blessing    —   Of our Father’s sweet caressing,    —   When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

When our days shall know their number,    —   And in death we sweetly slumber,    —   When the King commands the spirit to be free;    —   Nevermore with anguish laden,  —  We shall reach that lovely Eden,  —When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

Daniel de Marbelle  1887

He Hideth My Soul

Psalm 27:5. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

The assurance of God’s sheltering place allows us to weather the storms of life with hope.

This was what allowed David to face Goliath.

This was the confidence that kept Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego alive in the furnace.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, —  A wonderful Savior to me. — He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,    —    Where rivers of pleasure I see.

CHORUS:

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,    —    That shadows a dry, thirsty land;    —    He hideth my life in the depths of His love,  —  And covers me there with His hand,    —    And covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,— He taketh my burden away. — He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved; — He giveth me strength as my day.

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns    —    And filled with His fullness divine, — I sing in my rapture, “Oh, glory to God!  —  For such a Redeemer as mine!”

When clothed with His brightness transported I rise  —  To meet Him in clouds of the sky, — His perfect salvation, His wonderful love, —  I’ll shout with the millions on high.

All The Way My Savior Leads Me

Psalm 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

When Jesus restores our souls, we can be assured that He will lead us on the right path.

We must follow.

All The Way Mt Savior Leads Me

All the way my Savior leads me, — What have I to ask beside?  —  Can I doubt His tender mercy,  —    Who through life has been my Guide?  —    Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort, — Here by faith in Him to dwell! — For I know, whate’er befall me,  —    Jesus doeth all things well;  —    For I know, whate’er befall me,  —    Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me, — Cheers each winding path I tread, —  Gives me grace for every trial,— Feeds me with the living Bread. —  Though my weary steps may falter  —    And my soul athirst may be,  —    Gushing from the Rock before me  —    Lo! A spring of joy I see;  —    Gushing from the Rock before me,  —    Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me, — Oh, the fullness of His love! — Perfect rest to me is promised  —    In my Father’s house above.  —    When my spirit, clothed immortal,  —  Wings its flight to realms of day,  —  This my song through endless ages:  —    Jesus led me all the way;  —    This my song through endless ages:  —    Jesus led me all the way.

I’d Rather Have Jesus

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Imagine you live your life on your terms, doing all the things that you want to do, and when you reach the end of your life you die and go to Hell.

Where is the profit in that? What have you gained?

You have gained nothing, but you have lost everything!

That’s why you need Jesus.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I’d Rather Have Jesus

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;    —    I’d rather be His than have riches untold;  —  I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;  — I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hand.

CHORUS:

Than to be the king of a vast domain    —    Or be held in sin’s dread sway;    —    I’d rather have Jesus than anything    —    This world affords today.

I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;    —    I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;  — I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;  —  I’d rather be true to His holy name.

He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;  —  He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;  —  He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;  —  I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead.

Something Beautiful

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

When you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, you become a new creature.

Away with the old life and blessed with a new live.

It’s a beautiful exchange

Something beautiful, something good.    —   All my confusion, He understood. —  All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife,  —   But he made something beautiful of my life.

If there ever were dreams    —   That were lofty and noble,    —   They were my dreams at the start.    —   And hope for life's best were the hopes    —   That I harbored down deep in my heart.    —   But my dreams turned to ashes,    —   And my castles all crumbled; my fortune turned to loss.    —   So I wrapped it all in the rags of my life    —   And laid it at the cross.    —   And He made . . .

Jesus Is Lord Of All

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

To take up your cross means that you are willing to identify yourself with Jesus Christ, His death and His word, regardless of what it costs you personally, publicly or financially!

It isn’t popular to talk about sacrifice, death and suffering, but that is what Christianity is all about!

Through it All

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This promise is for those who love God.

God’s reason for turning everything to good is not to bless you, but to make you more like Jesus. But there are blessings.

He has a plan for you and nothing can change that plan.

Trust Him. Everything will be all right.

I've had many tears and sorrows.    —    I've had questions for tomorrow.    —    There's been times I didn't know right from wrong.    —    But in every situation    —    God gave blessed consolation,    —    That my trials only come to make me strong.

CHORUS:

Through it all, — Through it all; — I've learned to trust in Jesus, — I've learned to trust in God.  —  Through it all,  —  Through it all,  —  I've learned to depend upon His Word.

I've been to lots of places,  —  And I've seen a lot of faces.  —  There's been times I felt so all alone.  —  But in my lonely hours,  —  Those precious lonely hours,  —  Jesus let me know that I was His own.

I thank God for the mountains,  —  and I thank Him for the valleys. —  I thank Him for the storms He brought me through.    —    For if I'd never had a problem, — I wouldn't know that God could solve them;  — I'd never know what faith in God could do.
