Beulah Land

Heaven is more than just a place. Heaven is the home of Almighty God. It is the home of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Heaven is the glorious land where the redeemed of the ages spend eternity. It is the place where we all long to go. Some call it Beulah Land.

The same God Who stood in absolute darkness and said, “Let there be light” will fill our home with His brilliance and glory.

There’s more.

Revelation 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
————————————————

“I'm kind of homesick for a country. —  To which I've never been before.  —  No sad goodbyes will there be spoken,  —  for time won't matter anymore.

“Beulah Land, I'm longing for you,  —  and some day on thee I'll stand.  —  There my home shall be eternal.  —  Beulah Land -- Sweet Beulah Land.

“I'm looking now across the river. —  where my faith will end in sight.  —  There's just a few more days to labor.  —. Then I will take my heavenly flight.

“Beulah Land, I'm longing for you,  —  and some day on thee I'll stand.  —  There my home shall be eternal.  —  Beulah Land -- Sweet Beulah Land.”

A Shelter In The Time Of Storm

Thank God, there is a place of safety where the saints of God can flee in times of trouble, sorrow and suffering.

It’s a place where storms can’t come, winds can’t blow, and waves can’t reach us.

God is our safe haven — our shelter in the time of storm.. He is the only One Who can deliver us from what threatens to destroy us.

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

—————————————

“The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide, —  A Shelter in the time of storm;  —  Secure whatever ill betide,  —. A Shelter in the time of storm.

“Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, — A weary land, a weary land;  — Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, —. A Shelter in the time of storm.

“A shade by day, defense by night, —. A Shelter in the time of storm;  — No fears alarm, no foes affright, — A Shelter in the time of storm.

“The raging storms may round us beat, — A Shelter in the time of storm; —. We’ll never leave our safe Retreat, — A Shelter in the time of storm.

“O Rock divine, O Refuge dear, —. A Shelter in the time of storm;  —
Be Thou our Helper ever near, —. A Shelter in the time of storm.

Love Lifted Me

LOVE LIFTED ME

When I was ten years old God lovingly asked me to accept Him as my personal Savior.  He would forgive me and give me  eternal life.

I thought about it a few days, even had nightmares, knowing I was a sinner and wouldn’t go to Heaven unless I believed in Jesus. It was at a tent revival meeting in Granby, Missouri that I got saved.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I remember kneeling on the straw at the alter after the message, bawling my eyes out and asking Jesus to forgive my sins. I’ll never forget the sweet peace that soothed my soul.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  . . . . [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Thank God for His amazing grace and love that drew me to Him! I wish everybody was saved.
——————————————-

“I was sinking deep in sin,  —. Far from the peaceful shore,  —. Very deeply stained within,  —. Sinking to rise no more.  —. But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,  —. From the waters lifted me. Now safe am I.

“Love lifted me!   —. Love lifted me!  —. When nothing else could help,  —. Love lifted me.  —. Love lifted me! Love lifted me!  —. When nothing else could help, Love lifted me.

“All my heart to Him I give,  —. ever to Him I’ll cling.  —. In His blessèd presence live,  —  ever His praises sing.  —. Love so mighty and so true,  —. merits my soul’s best songs,  —. Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.

“Souls in danger look above. —  Jesus completely saves.  —. He will lift you by his love. —  Out of the angry waves.  —. But the master of the sea. —  Billows His will obey.  —. He your savior wants to be. —  Be saved today”

Sweet Hour Of Prayer

I’ve gone to church just about all my life and staying home from church because of the coronavirus is quite an adjustment.

Though I miss church and fellowshipping with all the lovely people and babies, the good Lord still blesses as we read our pastor’s sermons he e-mails us every Sunday and Wednesday.

We can still sing, and we can still pray for each other. We can still rejoice in the Lord.

Today’s sermon was about praying with a purpose. I hope he don’t mind me using a couple lines from it.

“Prayer which begins with sighing often ends in singing. We need to pray with a purpose. We need to spend each day in prayer to God.”

Psalm 5:1-2 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

[2] Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

God still answers prayer.
——————————————-

“Sweet hour of prayer. sweet hour of prayer — That calls me from a world of care, — And bids me at my Father's throne,  —. Make all my wants and wishes known.  — In seasons of distress and grief,  —. My soul has often found relief,  —. And oft escaped the tempter's snare. —  By thy return, sweet hour of prayer.

“Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer.  — Thy wings shall my petition bear.  —  To him whose truth and faithfulness. —  Engage the waiting soul to bless.  —. And since he bids me seek his face,  —. Believe his word, and trust his grace,  —. I'll cast on him my every care, —. And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

“Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,  —. May I thy consolation share,  —. Till from Mount Pisgah's lofty height. —  I view my home and take my flight.  —. This robe of flesh I'll drop, and rise. —  To seize the everlasting prize,  —. And shout, while passing thru the air,  —. "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer."

Precious Lord, Take My Hand

A lot of people are hunkered down in their homes, afraid of the coronavirus. It has affected just about everything around the globe as we know it.

Many have died, yet many have lived through it.

Where is God in all this chaos? What can He do for us?

God knows all about it, and He is in control of everything.

If He is the God of your salvation, He is holding your hand, so don’t be afraid.

Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

——————————————-

“”Precious Lord, take my hand. —  Lead me on, let me stand,  —  I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.  — Thro’ the storm, thro’ the night,  —. Lead me on to the light. —  Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home

“When my way grows drear,  —  precious Lord linger near. —  When my life is almost gone.  —. Hear my cry, hear my call,  —. Hold my hand lest I fall. —  Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.”

Farther Along

Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

The Psalmist is saying, "The Lord brings victory to my face."

I've seen a lot of faces that need the victory brought to them.

There will come a day when we will see the Lord face to face. What a day that will be when He dries the tears from our eyes.

Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Farther along we’ll know all about it.
—————————————————-

Tempted and tried we're oft' made to wonder — Why it should be thus all the day long, — While there are others living about us — Never molested, tho in the wrong.

“Farther along we'll know all about it. — Farther along we'll understand why. — Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, — We'll understand it all by and by.

“Faithful till death said our loving savior. — A few more days to labor and wa. — Toils of the road will then seem as nothing — As we sweep thru the beautiful gate.

“When we see Jesus coming in glory. — When He comes from His home in the sky. — Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion, — We'll understand it all by and by.

I;ll Fly Away

Jesus is coming, for sure, 2 Tim. 4:8; 1 John 3:3

We don’t know the exact time, but when He comes with a shout, we are going to fly up to meet Him with believers of all time.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be “caught up” together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Many call this the “rapture”, which is the Latin translation of the Greek word “harpazo”, which is translated in verse 17 as “caught up”.

When Jesus comes, we will leave this world behind and fly away to a better place to spend eternity with Him and all those He redeemed when He died at Calvary.

When Jesus comes all the pain, sorrow, separation, suffering, sin, and heartache will end immediately for those raptured (caught up). .

Did I say we will fly — carried away and completely changed!

Albert Brumley, who lived about fifteen to twenty miles from where I grew up, wrote the song, “I’ll Fly Away.”

—————————————————————-
Some glad morning when this life is o’er I’ll fly away — To a home on Gods celestial shore, — I’ll fly away.

I’ll fly away, oh glory — I’ll fly away (in the morning). — When I die hallelujah by and by — I’ll fly away.

“When the shadows of this life have grown, — I’ll fly away; — Like a bird from prison bars has flown,  — I’ll fly away.

“Just a few more weary days and then, — I’ll fly away — To a land where joys shall never end, — I’ll fly away.”
       Albert E. Brumley
