Life, Death And Judgment

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. . . . . Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

We may not know about tomorrow, but we have an appointment to die whether we like it or not. Or we --- the Redeemed --- will be caught up in the clouds to meet Jesus, 1 Thes. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-52.

We may not like the idea of the judgment mentioned after death,  but “after this (death) is the judgment".  Christ will be the judge. .

The saints of God will be judged according to their works, and they will either receive rewards or loss of rewards. 1 Cor. 3:10-15. The lost will be judged in their sins and unbelief and will be cast into the lake of fire, Rev. 20:11-15.

Are you ready to meet God? Have you been saved, trusting in Jesus and His shed blood to forgive your sins --- to make you a new creature in Christ Jesus? Or will you meet Him as one who claims to be saved, but who lives for yourself? Come to Jesus.

Promises Of God

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

At times It may appear that God has forgotten some of His promises, but God never fails and God never forgets. He will keep every promise He ever made to His people.

Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

What kind of promises are we talking about? All of them.

His presence--- Any place, any need, any time,  every circumstance, and  every condition of life. His peace--- in every problem, every illness, every valley, every situation, day and every mile.

Hollowed Be Thy Name

Matthew 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

God is on Heaven’s throne and is worthy of our faith.  He is an able God. We can pray on His promises.

1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

God is a holy God and must be approached in fear and reverence. To truly hallow His name means that we see Him as Lord over all. When His name is hallowed we can never say, “No, Lord,” or  “Not me Lord.”  The only word that fits with Lord is “Yes, Lord.”

To Hallow God, we simply give to Him the honor and glory and majesty that is and has always been His. We praise Him.

When we come before Him, we need to remember that  our only access to God lies in that name which is above every name --- Jesus.

Tribulations, Patience, Experience, And Hope

Romans 5:3-5  And not only so , but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;  And patience, experience; and experience, hope:  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

When troubles come in our lives as a result of our walk with the Lord, we can glory in them as we endure. The more we endure for Jesus, the more we become like Him. .

Jesus makes the trip bearable.  He gives us hope as we learn to rest in Him. He has the power to keep our hearts in perfect peace regardless of how difficult the way.

Paul tells us that the love of God is constantly being poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,. Oh how sweet --- the awesome love of God for His children.

Put It In God's Hand

1 Kings 17:9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

God sends Ravens to feed Elijah twice a day at Brook Cherith, After awhile the brook dries up for lack of rain, and the Lord directs him to a widow woman who He prepared to feed him.

Elijah finds her picking up sticks to cook her last meal for her and her son. Then they will die because that’s all the food she has. Yet, she obeys a God she hadn’t known for a prophet she didn’t know. She cooks all she has to feed the prophet. What faith!

But, as she  takes meal out of the barrel, God puts more in and replenishes the oil. For three years God feeds them as others nearby starve to death because of a famine.

Our two sticks, meal and oil will accomplish very little, but little is much when God is in it. He can do wonders with what we leave in His care.

All David had was a sling, a shepherd’s staff and a few stones, but in the hand of God he killed  a giant.------ All Moses had was a shepherd’s staff, but in the hand of God it parted a sea.---- All a little boy had was five loaves and two fishes, but in the hand of God it fed a multitude.

What do you need to put into God’s hand? --- An impossible situation? --- Lost family members? --- Sickness, sin or your lost soul? Let go. Put it in God’s hand.

Glory On The Mountain

Mark 9:2-4 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

Why Moses and Elijah? Moses was the great lawgiver and Elijah was the first and greatest of the prophets. These men have come to encourage the Lamb of God as He draws closer to Calvary.

When Jesus appeared in glory on that mountain, He was showing us that at His will He could leave time and move back into eternity. He didn’t have to go to the cross. He willingly laid down His life because He loved sinners, John 10:17-18. Thank God!

We have our valleys, our hardships, our sufferings, our sicknesses and our problems; but I praise God for the mountain tops of life where we are allowed to see His glory and His power.

His glory is seen in answered prayer ---  in His peace and presence --- in times of profound, personal worship --- and countless other ways.

Closer To Thee, Lord

When you  humble yourself the Lord can use you for His glory --- James 4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

When you see Jesus in His glory, your worship will be about Him and nothing more. That’s what He wants it to be --- John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

When you walk in genuine fellowship with the Lord there’s a special relationship that develops. It doesn’t mean that He loves one more than another but that He reveals Himself more to those who are walking close to Him.

He will speak more directly through His Word. He will manifest His presence more often in your heart. He will use you more in a wonderful way. These make walking with the Lord a glorious experience.
