True dedication to The Lord is giving Him your body, your mind, and your will.
The body of the Christian is God's temple because the Spirit of God dwells within. Every day is a worship experience when you yield your body to God.
He makes you spiritually minded as you study His Word and make it a part of your daily life.
Each day we must surrender our will to God through prayer to grow closer to Him. "Not my will, but Thine be done."
We have a right relationship with God when we start the day, yielding to him our bodies, our minds, and our will.
Romans 12:1,2 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
I'm amazed at the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus, willing to lay aside His heavenly glory to come to the lowly estate of man---to become our sacrifice for sin. I'm amazed at the miracles He performed while here.
Mark 6:56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages or cities or country, they laid the sick in the streets and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
There are none that have gone so far that Jesus can't touch them. If you've never trusted Him to be your Savior, reach out and touch Him for salvation.
If you're sick, reach out and touch Him for healing.
If you're depressed or perplexed, reach out and touch Him by faith and may His grace and peace be with you.
Much of the time life is like going through the airport steering a loaded luggage cart with one bad wheel. Sometimes you just feel ridiculous; sometimes you actually look ridiculous, and sometimes all you can do is just try to push it in generally the right direction. Life is hard, but God is good. Our lives are either grounded in human understanding or in heavenly understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Are you living a life based on the Word and will of God or do you go your own way, do your own thing, and never think about God? Does it matter? Absolutely!
Matthew 11:28,30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you reat . . . . For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The undeserved love and favor of God toward fallen man is awesome. It means that any sinner can be saved and any situation can be faced.
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace redeems us from sin and teaches us how to live, avoiding ungodliness and worldly lusts.
Living under grace makes us a peculear people, a people for God's own possession.
Living under grace makes us zealous of good works.
Grace gives us a hope that separates us from the world as we look for the glorious coming of Jesus Christ.
When we sing Amazing Grace, we're telling the truth. How sweet the sound.
It has accurately been said that love does not define God, but God defines love. His love is a holy love, and His holiness is expressed in love.
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
The greatest expression of God's love was shown at the cross of Calvary when He gave His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
The deeper we go into the meaning of the Cross, the greater will be our love for Christ. If we love God, we will love one another, and if we love one another, we will grow in our love for God because God is love.
If you don't personally know Jesus, believe He died for your sins and ask Him to come into your heart as your personal Saviour.
Faith is a fundamental doctrine of Christianity. We are saved by grace through faith. We walk in faith, believing the One that our eyes have never seen. We talk of faith, sing and teach of faith.
But our faith has a tendency to waver, especially in times of crisis. Seems we forget that Jesus is the source of our faith.
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Faith isn't simply believing God can; it's knowing God will.
We are serving the same God that parted the Red Sea, enabled a shepherd boy to defeat a giant, stood in the fire with the Hebrew boys, and called Lazarus from the grave. What could we possibly need that He can't supply.
Malachi 3:6 For I am The Lord, I change not.
Lord, help my unbelief.
Matthew 16:13,15 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? . . . . He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Jesus wants to hear, not just what others say and believe about Him, but what you believe and how it affects your life.
Some believers are content to ride the wave of someone else's faith and convictions, but Jesus wants you to study Him for yourself. He wants you in His Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you the fullness of the truth.
When a believer studies the whole Bible (Gen.--Rev.), they may discover new truths never preached from the pulpit.
1 Timothy 3:16,17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
