His Eye is On The Sparrow

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

[30] But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

[31] Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Don’t ever think no one cares for you or your condition.

You are of greater value to God than the little sparrow.

Jesus loves you.

His Eye is On The Sparrow

Why should I feel discouraged,  —   Why should the shadows come,  —   Why should my heart be lonely,  —   And long for heav’n and home? — When Jesus is my portion, —  My constant Friend is He:  —   His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;

CHORUS:

I sing because I’m happy, — I sing because I’m free, — For His eye is on the sparrow, — And I know He watches me.

“Let not your heart be troubled,” — His tender word I hear, —  And resting on His goodness, — I lose my doubts and fears;   —   Though by the path He leadeth, — But one step I may see;  —  His eye is on the sparrow, — And I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, — Whenever clouds arise, — When songs give place to sighing, — When hope within me dies,— I draw the closer to Him, — From care He sets me free; — His eye is on the sparrow, — And I know He watches me.

By and By

Revelation 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

There is many a sad and lonely person in this world, but in the New Jerusalem there are not going to be any more tears.

No more deaths.  That is going to be a very marvelous improvement.

Trials dark on every hand,   —   And we cannot understand — All the ways that God will lead us   —   To that blessed promised land. — But He’ll guide us with his eye,   —   And we’ll follow till we die.  — We will understand it better by and by.

CHORUS:

By and by, when the morning comes,   —   When the saints of God are gathered home.   —   We will tell the story how we’ve overcome,   —   For we’ll understand it better by and by.

Temptations, hidden snares   —    Often take us unawares,   —   And our hearts are made to bleed    —   For some thoughtless word or deed; — And we wonder why the test   —   When we try to do our best. — We will understand it better by and by.

We are often tossed and driven   —   On the restless sea of time.   —   Somber skies and howling tempests   —   Oft succeed a bright sunshine.  —  In that land of perfect day  —  When the mists are rolled away,  —  We will understand it better by and by.

All the Way My Savior Leads Me

Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Our Shepherd, the Lord Jesus, leads us in right paths, and it is up to us to follow Him.

You can’t go wrong following Jesus. His Spirit led paths draw us ever so close to Him.

All the Way My Savior Leads Me

All the way my Savior leads me, — What have I to ask beside? — Can I doubt His tender mercy,  —   Who through life has been my Guide?  —   Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,  —   Here by faith in Him to dwell! — For I know, whate’er befall me, —  Jesus doeth all things well; — For I know, whate’er befall me, —  Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,  —   Cheers each winding path I tread,  —   Gives me grace for every trial,  —   Feeds me with the living Bread. — Though my weary steps may falter —  And my soul athirst may be, — Gushing from the Rock before me,— Lo! A spring of joy I see; — Gushing from the Rock before me, — Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me,— Oh, the fullness of His love! —   Perfect rest to me is promised — In my Father’s house above. —   When my spirit, clothed immortal,  —   Wings its flight to realms of day  —   This my song through endless ages:  —   Jesus led me all the way;  —   This my song through endless ages:  —   Jesus led me all the way.

Jesus Hold My Hand

Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Jesus wants us to walk with Him, have fellowship with Him, and know Him through the study of His Word.

What a comfort!

My, what mankind is missing today!

As I travel through this pilgrim land — There is a friend who walks with me, — Leads me safely through the sinking sand — It is the Christ at Calvary.   —   This would be my prayer dear Lord each day  —  To help me do the best I can,  —  For I need Thy light to guide me day and night,  —  Blessed Jesus hold my hand.

CHORUS:

Jesus, hold my hand. — I need thee every hour. — Through this pilgrim land   —   Protect me by thy power.   —   Hear my feeble plea, — O Lord, look down on me. — When I kneel in prayer I hope to meet you there. —  Blessed Jesus, hold my hand.

Let me travel in the light divine   —   That I may see the blessed way.   —   Keep me that I may be wholly Thine   —   And sing redemption's song some day.   —   I will be a soldier brave and true   —   And ever firmly take a stand.   —   As I onward go and daily meet the foe,   —   Blessed Jesus, hold my hand.

Redeemed

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

You and I stood under the judgment of God, for the Scripture says “… the soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezek. 18:4). God has never revoked that decree.  (Romans 3:23).

Man has nothing to offer God for his own redemption.

Only the precious blood of Jesus Redeems those who believe on Him.

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!   —   Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;   —   Redeemed through His infinite mercy,   —   His child, and forever, I am.

CHORUS:

Redeemed, redeemed,   —   Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;   —   Redeemed, redeemed,   —   Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;

I think of my blessed Redeemer,   —   I think of Him all the day long;   —   I sing, for I cannot be silent;   —   His love is the theme of my song.

I know I shall see in His beauty   —   The King in whose law I delight,   —   Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps   —   And giveth me songs in the night.

God Will Take Care of You

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

The fact is, “The Lord is good!” Consider Psalm 34:8; Psalm 100:5; Psalm 135:3; Psalm 145:9, and Romans 8:28.

Jesus doesn’t need a computer to record your name.

Actually, He has you written on His heart and on the palms of His hands.

God Will Take Care of You

Be not dismayed whate’er betide,  —   God will take care of you;  — Beneath his wings of love abide,    God will take care of you.

CHORUS:

God will take care of you,  —   Through ev'ry day,  —   O’er all the way;  —   He will take care of you,  —   God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart does fail,  —   God will take care of you;  —   When dangers fierce your path assail,  —  God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test,  —   God will take care of you;  —   Lean, weary one, upon his breast,  —   God will take care of you.
