He Hideth My Soul

Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

It’s a place reserved for those who love

the Lord.  That place where God meets

with you, where all else falls away and

you are left with Him and Him alone.

That’s the place He invites those who

abide to enter.

He Hideth My Soul

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,    —    A wonderful Savior to me;  —  He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, — Where rivers of pleasure I see.

CHORUS:

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, — That shadows a dry, thirsty land; — He hideth my life in the depths of His love, — And covers me there with His hand,    —    And covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,    —    He taketh my burden away,  —  He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved,  —  He giveth me strength as my day.

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns, — And filled with His fullness divine,    —    I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God!    —    For such a Redeemer as mine.

When clothed with His brightness transported I rise — To meet Him in clouds of the sky,    —    His perfect salvation, His wonderful love,    —    I’ll shout with the millions on high.

The Solid Rock

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

When you came to Christ, you came

bringing nothing to receive everything!

You were put on that Rock which is Christ.

Now you can build on that. This is where

good come in.

The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less  —  Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;  —  I dare not trust the sweetest frame,  —  But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

CHORUS:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;  —  All other ground is sinking sand,  —  All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face  —  I rest on His unchanging grace;  —  In every high and stormy gale,  —  My anchor holds within the veil. - - -

His oath, His covenant, His blood  —  Support me in the whelming flood;  —  When all around my soul gives way,  —  He then is all my hope and stay. - - -

When He shall come with trumpet sound,  —  Oh, may I then in Him be found;  —  Dressed in His righteousness alone,  —  Faultless to stand before the throne. - - -

Amazing Grace

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

We did’t love Jesus or want Him, but He loved us.

It’s His amazing grace that reached down into the depths of our dead condition

and saved us and changed us and identified us with Jesus Christ.

We must humbly acknowledge with the Apostle Paul, “But by the grace of

God I am what I am…1 Cor. 15:10.

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound    —    That saved a wretch like me.    —    I once was lost, but now am found,  —  Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,  —  And grace my fears relieved. — How precious did that grace appear  — The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares    —    I have already come;  —  'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far  — And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,  —  Bright shining as the sun,  —  We’ve no less

days to sing God’s praise — Than when we’d first begun.

Where Could I Go?

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

[2] He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

[3] And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

If you are going through struggles,

lay them at the feet of Jesus.

Where Could I Go But To The Lord?

Living below in this old sinful world, — Hardly a comfort can afford. — Striving alone to face temptation's sword,   —  Where could I go but to the Lord?

CHORUS:

Where could I go, oh where could I go,   —    Seeking a refuge for my soul.   —    Needing a friend to help me in the end,   —    Where could I but go to the Lord?

Neighbors are kind, I love them everyone.   —    We get along in sweet accord.   —    But when my soul needs manna from above.   —    Where could I go but to the Lord? - - -

Life here is grand with friends I love so dear. — Comfort I get from God's own Word.   —    Yet when I face this chilling hands of death,   —    Where could I go but to the Lord? - - -

One Day

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Alienated from God and doomed

to death, I’m glad Jesus offered salvation

to a lost sinner like me when He died on

a cruel cross. I’m glad I believed and

now I have eternal life. Thank God for His

death, burial, and resurrection. One day

He is coming for me in the clouds.

One Day

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,  — One day when sin was as black as could be,  — Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,  — Dwelt among men, my example is He!

CHORUS:

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; —  Buried, He carried my sins far away; — Rising, He justified freely forever; — One day He’s coming — oh, glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,    —   One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;    —   Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:  — Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He! - - -

One day they left Him alone in the garden,    —   One day He rested, from suffering free;    —   Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil; — Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He! - - -

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer, — One day the stone rolled away from the door;  — Then He arose, over death He had conquered; — Now is ascended, my Lord evermore! - - -

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, — One day the skies with His glories will shine; — Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing; — Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine! - - -

The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power

Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

[9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Jesus is a God of love. Those who believe on Him (justified by His blood) are saved from His judgmental wrath.

The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power

The blood that Jesus shed for me, — way back on Calvary; — the blood that gives me strength    —    from day to day,    —    it will never lose its power.

CHORUS:

It reaches to the highest mountain,    —    And it flows to the lowest valley;  —  the blood that gives me strength  —  from day to day,  —  it will never lose its power.

It soothes my doubts and calms my fears,    —    and it dries all of my tears;    —    the blood that gives me strength    —    from day to day,    —    it will never lose its power.

Reach Out To Jesus

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Do you have a problem?

“Draw nigh to God” with a clean heart, and ask Him to cleanse forgive any sins in your life.

Ask for His will to be done with your petition.

God will “draw nigh” to you.

He is always there, hearing every prayer faithful and true,—   Walking by our side, in his love abide all the day through. — When you get discouraged just remember what to do. —  Reach out to Jesus, he's reaching out to you.

Is the life you're living filled with sorrow and despair? — Does the future press you with its worry and its scare?  —  Are you tired and jealous, have you almost lost your way?  —  Jesus will help you, just talk to him today.
