The Love of God

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus loves me, this I know; for the Bible tells me so.

The Love of God

____________________

The love of God is greater far  —   Than tongue or pen can ever tell;  —   It goes beyond the highest star,  —   And reaches to the lowest hell;  —   The guilty pair, bowed down with care,  —   God gave His Son to win;  —   His erring child He reconciled,  —   And pardoned from his sin.

CHORUS:

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!  —   How measureless and strong!  —   It shall forevermore endure.  —   The saints’ and angels’ song.

When years of time shall pass away,  —   And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,  —   When men who here refuse to pray,  —   On rocks and hills and mountains call,  —   God’s love so sure, shall still endure,  —   All measureless and strong;  —   Redeeming grace to Adam’s race.  —  The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,  —   And were the skies of parchment made,  —  Were every stalk on earth a quill, —  And every man a scribe by trade;  —   To write the love of God above  —   Would drain the ocean dry;  —   Nor could the scroll contain the whole, —  Though stretched from sky to sky.

Take My Hand. Precious Lord

Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

What a comfort it is to feel the hand of the Lord in your’s when

walking through the unknown.

Precious Lord, Take My Hand

Precious Lord, take my hand, — Lead me on, let me stand. — I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.  —  Through the storm, through the night,  —  Lead me on to the light.  —  Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home,

When my way growth drear, — Precious Lord, linger near — When my life is almost gone; — Hear my cry, hear my call, —  Hold my hand lest I fall. — Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

When the darkness appears, — And the night draweth near, — And the day is past and gone. — At the river I stand, — Guide my feet, hold my hand, — Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Psalm 146:2 While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

Believers have many reasons to praise God, even when life hurts.

But, when we have exchanged the earthy for the heavenly, and we stand perfected in His presence in glory, we will have even more reason to exalt the name of the Lord.

Rev. 4:1-11; Rev. 5:9-14.

Praise Him!  Praise Him!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!  — Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!    —   Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory; — Strength and honor give to His holy Name!  — Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,  —  In His arms He carries them all day long.

CHORUS:

Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness; — Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! — For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died. — He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation, — Hail Him! Hail Him! Jesus the Crucified. — Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,    —   Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!  —   Heav’nly portals loud with hosannas ring!   —   Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever;    —   Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!    —   Christ is coming! over the world victorious,    —   Pow’r and glory unto the Lord belong.

This World Is Not My Home

2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

This body of ours (our earthly house) will be sown a natural body, but it will be raised a spiritual body.

God is going to give us a new body up yonder, an eternal body that won’t wear out.

This World is Not My Home

This world is not my home I'm just a passing through. — My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. — The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door, — and I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

CHORUS:
O Lord, you know I have no friend like you.  —   Heaven is my home O, Lord, because you’re true. — The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door,    —    and I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

They're all expecting me and that's one thing I know. — My Savior pardoned me, and now I onward go.    —    I know He'll take me through tho’ I am weak and poor,    —    And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

Just up in Glory Land we'll live eternally.    —    The Saints on every hand are shouting victory.    —    Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from Heaven's shore,    —    and I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

Beyond the Sunset

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

There is many a sad and lonely person in this world, but in the New Jerusalem there are not going to be any more tears.

What a comfort!

Beyond the sunset,    —    O blissful morning,    —    When with our Savior  —  Heav'n is begun.  —  Earth's toiling ended,  —. O glorious dawning;  —  Beyond the sunset  —  When day is done.

Beyond the sunset,  —  No clouds will gather,  —  No storms will threaten,  —  No fears annoy;  —  O day of gladness,  —  O day unending,  —  Beyond the sunset,  —  Eternal Joy.

Beyond the sunset,  —  A hand will guide me  —  To God, the Father,  —  Whom I adore;  —  His glorious presence,  —  His words of welcome,  —  Will be my portion  —  On that fair shore.

Beyond the sunset,  —  O glad reunion,  —  With our dear loved ones  —  Who've gone before;  —  In that fair homeland  —  We'll know no parting,  —  Beyond the sunset  —  For evermore!

The Blood Will Never Lose it’s Poswer

 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The price paid for redemption from sin was very costly.

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God the Father, shed His precious blood on the cross for our sin.

There is power in the blood of Jesus.

The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power

________________________________

The blood that Jesus shed for me — Way back on Calvary — The blood that gives me strength   — From day to day,  — It will never lose its power.

CHORUS:

It reaches to the highest mountain.    —   It flows to the lowest valley.    —   The blood that gives me strength     —  From day to day.    —   It will never lose its power.

It soothes my doubts and calms my fears,    —   And it dries all my tears.    —   The blood that gives me strength     —   From day to day,     —   It will never lose its power

Rock of Ages

1 Corinthians 10:1,3,4  Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

[3] And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

[4] And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Here the Apostle Paul is speaking to the Hebrews in this Corinthian congregation.

Jesus, our Rock, appeared to them often in the Old Testament.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Rock of Ages

__________________________

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, — Let me hide myself in Thee; — Let the water and the blood,   —   From Thy wounded side which flowed,  —  Be of sin the double cure,  —  Save from wrath and make me pure.

Could my tears forever flow,   —   Could my zeal no langour know,   —   These for sin could not atone;   —   Thou must save, and Thou alone.   —   In my hand no price I bring;   —   Simply to Thy cross I cling.

While I draw this fleeting breath,   —   When my eyes shall close in death,   —   When I rise to worlds unknown,   —   And behold Thee on Thy throne,   —   Rock of Ages, cleft for me,   —   Let me hide myself in Thee.
